Epic Games has done a tremendous job of striking deals with other video game developers and publishers to get their characters added to Fortnite. The free-to-play battle royale title has managed to unite PlayStation and Xbox characters in the same game, with Kratos, Aloy, and Nathan Drake all being featured alongside Master Chief and Marcus Fenix. Fortnite has included characters from some third party titles, too, and hopefully more will be on the way soon.

From Borderlands Psychos to Vi and Jinx from League of Legends, gaming icons serve as some of the very best crossover content within Fortnite. Considering that Chapter 4 is beginning with the addition of the Doom Slayer and The Witcher 3’s version of Geralt, it seems like game crossovers are continuing to be a priority. As such, there is a chance Epic will partner with a few other standout franchises for new content.

Overwatch in Fortnite

If Epic Games is looking for a partnership that could provide content for months, Overwatch is a franchise to keep in mind. Not only could weapons like Tracer’s pulse pistols be added as weapons within matches for players to make use of, but Brigitte’s mace and Genji’s dragonblade make for some perfect Harvesting Tools. Additionally, characters like Cassidy, Soldier 76, and Reaper will not look out of place holding guns, as they are seen doing this within their own universe.

Mass Effect in Fortnite

Mass Effect Legendary Edition Squad Characters

Much like Overwatch, BioWare’s Mass Effect franchise is an IP that can provide a massive variety of cosmetics. Female and Male versions of Commander Shepard can be added alongside an Omni-Tool for harvesting materials, and a number of companions would fit into Fortnite’s art style well. From Liara and Tali to even a bulkier figure like Grunt or Wrex, there are some excellent options available to Epic Games. Such a pairing could be a perfect way to build hype for Mass Effect 4 whenever it gets closer to its official release.

The Last of Us in Fortnite

Though Neil Druckmann shut down the rumors that suggested The Last of Us content was coming to Fortnite, perhaps it will arrive some time down the road. Characters like Joel, Ellie, and Abby have become iconic, and even Clicker skins could prove to be popular additions. From Abby's hammer to Ellie's switchblade, Harvesting Tools are easy to imagine, and a fun emote could see Ellie reading out of her pun book. With Uncharted content already coming to Fortnite, it would not be too surprising to see another beloved Naughty Dog series represented on the island.

Elden Ring in Fortnite

Though the leaked survey mentioning Iron Fist Alexander and Melina went nowhere, it would still be interesting to see Elden Ring represented within Fortnite. Malenia’s reputation as a brutally tough boss would make her a great choice for a skin, as many would surely be afraid to see her lurking in Anvil Square. An emote that incorporates her signature Waterfowl Dance would be a nice touch, too. Aside from Malenia and the two previously rumored skins, Radagon’s damaged and glowing body ensures he would look great within Fortnite’s engine.

Though these four franchises would be a lot of fun to see represented, they are far from the only routes that could be used for more Fortnite crossovers. For instance, a Star Wars Jedi: Survivor skin focused on Cal Kestis could add to the game’s long lineup of Star Wars cosmetics. A Dead Space crossover featuring Isaac and a plasma cutter would be memorable, as would a Callisto Protocol partnership that incorporates Jacob and his stun baton. With so many games to pick from, Fortnite will have crossover material for years to come.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
