Fortnite Season 2 Chapter 2 is off to a great start and a week full of new challenges. Now players can choose between joining the Shadow or Ghost factions, with each team having its own set of challenges. Gamers looking to join the Shadow Faction of Fortnite will need to visit each of the five safe houses scattered throughout the map.

Finding each safe house will help unlock better skins and advance players' factions. Before heading into one of these safe houses, it's always best to loot in a nearby area to get weapons, ammo, and shields, as they are all guarded by henchmen. Once players are prepared, it's only a matter of identifying where the buildings are hidden. One of the most defining marks of finding a safe house is looking for the blue fan boxes resting on the outside of buildings. These are dead giveaways that the building is something more than a simple house or gas station.

All 5 locations of Fortnite Shadow Safe Houses

Alpha Shadow Safe House

Pleasant Park Soccer Field

Located in D3 near Pleasant Park, the Alpha Shadow Safe House is underneath the soccer– or football for anyone in European countries– field. The way to access this safe house, along with all others, is to enter through the toilets, Harry Potter style. There is a porta-potty behind the gray house, another behind the gas station, and a third underneath an orange tree. These will take players down to the first Shadow base, but be cautious. There are plenty of bots down here and they are loaded with ammo. It's best to grab shields and guns before entering any of these safe houses.

Beta Shadow Safe House

Beta Shadow Safe House is located near a gas station

This safe house is located in G4 just east of Frenzy Farm. There are two porta-potties in this area to look out for. One is located next to another gas station, and the second is located in a brick structure outside of the gas station. Both of these will lead players to the second Shadow safe house filled with plenty of loot and items.

Charlie Shadow Safe House

Charlie Shadow Safe House is located in an old Radio Station

The Charlie Shadow Safe House is located in F2 between Steamy Stacks and Craggy Cliffs. This is another unassuming building that looks like it was formerly a radio station. This one doesn't need a porta-potty entrance, but rather needs gamers to jump into one of the nearby trash bins, which will port players into the secret safe house, but gamers should be extra careful as the bins typically port players right near henchmen.

Delta Shadow Safe House

The large white house where Delta Shadow Safe House can be found

The Delta Shadow Safe House is located in E7 of the map in a large white house. This location is just north of Misty Meadows and on one of the bigger islands in the middle of Lazy Lake. Henchmen patrol quite frequently around the island, so gamers should be wary and loot up before entering this area. This safe house doesn't need to be entered any specific way, and players can land on top of the house and work their way through it.

Echo Shadow Safe House

The most unassuming Safe House is Echo Shadow Safe House

Finally, the Echo Shadow Safe House is located in B4 of the new map and nestled between Sweaty Sands and Holly Hedges. This might be one of the most unassuming houses, but not the hardest to find. This particular safehouse is in a red house with what appears to be a satellite or communication tower on top. Even though there is a porta-potty outside of the house, players can enter the building any way they want.
