Highlights

  • Epic Games might be considering adding Fall Guys as a game mode to Fortnite, following the success of previous modes like Lego Fortnite and Rocket Racing.
  • Fortnite has evolved significantly from its original release, with the Battle Royale mode surpassing expectations and attracting a massive player count.
  • While Epic Games has not confirmed anything yet, the potential addition of Fall Guys to Fortnite could turn it into a gaming hub for fans, providing more options and gameplay variety.

Fortnite could be receiving yet another game mode, as it seems Epic Games wants to add Fall Guys, another one of its IPs, to its most popular game. Fortnite has changed quite a bit since it was first released. Save the World was supposed to be the main attraction. However, when the Battle Royale game mode came out, it took the world by storm and completely surpassed its predecessor. While many thought that the game had already peaked, Fortnite reached an all-time high player count with the launch of Season OG and went even further during The Big Bang event.

Chapter 5 Season 1 went live after The Big Bang event, and it has been a success so far, especially with the release of Fortnite's latest modes: Lego Fortnite, Rocket Racing, and Fortnite Festival. These modes are here to stay, as it seems they were permanent additions made to the game. All game modes are separate from Battle Royale, but players can use rewards that they earn in each mode interchangeably. Lego Fortnite was particularly successful to the point that its player count was higher than Fortnite Battle Royale.

Fortnite Releases New Update

The latest Fortnite update is rolling out to players, bringing various adjustments to the weapons within Epic’s popular battle royale title.

With this in mind, there is seemingly no reason for Epic Games not to keep investing in Fortnite as a gaming platform. According to HYPEX, a known leaker in the gaming community, it seems that Epic Games wants to bring Fall Guys to Fortnite as a port. It would most likely be a separate game mode like Rocket Racing - the Rocket League-like game in Fortnite. Fans would be able to play Fall Guys matches without having to leave the game.

Upon hearing about these rumors, some players were happy to know about this possible addition to Fortnite. There is no reason why Fortnite couldn't turn into a gaming hub for Epic Games fans. It already has dozens of modes, such as Battle Royale, Zero Build, Save the World, and hundreds of games, thanks to Creative mode and UEFN.

Until now, Epic Games has not confirmed any of this information, but according to HYPEX, this will only be introduced sometime next year, so there is still plenty of time for the company to work on it and come forward about it. This change might make it more practical for Fortnite players to access Fall Guys, but thankfully, it's also a free-to-play game, so fans can continue to enjoy it on every platform while they wait for its potential release in Fortnite.
