Fortnite continues to be the undisputed king when it comes to crossovers. The free-to-play title has collaborated with just about every facet of pop culture, ranging from the NFL and Marvel to Stranger Things, headlining music artists, and more. Fortnite's crossover reign continues, with its latest update finally launching the highly anticipated Dragon Ball crossover.

Epic Games' immensely popular battle royale title is entering the final month or so of its Chapter 3 Season 3. The final leg of the "Vibin'" season confirms the rumors of a Fortnite x Dragon Ball crossover, which had been the subject of numerous leaks and rumors in the weeks prior.

Fortnite's Dragon Ball crossover brings a plethora of content from the iconic franchise to the island for the first time. Goku, Vegeta, Bulma, and Beerus are the four available Dragon Ball skins, who come with plenty of gear and seven sets of "Power Unleashed" quests. Completing each set unlocks cosmetics and a Dragon Ball, with the Shenron Glider the reward for collecting all seven. While its unclear if the others are on the island, Bulma will be located at the newly appeared Kame House on the eastern edge of the map, ready to sell players some seriously powerful items.

Two iconic pieces of Dragon Ball have made their way to Fortnite for players to use: the legendary Kamehameha and Nimbus Cloud. Sticking true to the source material, the Kamehameha deals a devastating beam of energy, although there appears to be a bit of an expected wind-up to fire the blast. The other item is the Nimbus Cloud, Goku's trusty travel method, which looks like it may function similarly to the glider redeploy Fortnite has had in the past. In addition to Bulma, the Dragon Ball items will drop from the sky in Capsule Corp containers.

The Dragon Ball crossover also introduces a new feature called Rival Boards. Taking the place of Fortnite's regular Bounty Boards, the new Rival Boards will pit players against a "rival" to determine who the strongest on the island is. Players must both opt into a battle, which will then reveal the other's location on the map. Rivals will then have five minutes to defeat their opponent and claim victory. Fortnite players will also be able to claim victory on August 18's Tournament of Power, which gives players a shot at earning exclusive cosmetics.

Fortnite's Dragon Ball crossover extends farther than just the battle royale mode. Fans can board a cruise ship for the Dragon Ball Super Episode Festival, which will air selected episodes from the Dragon Ball Super series. Similarly to the Hidden Leaf Village featured in the Naruto crossover, the new Dragon Ball Adventure Island features iconic Dragon Ball locations, along with several themed challenges. The Power Unleashed quests and Dragon Ball content are only available until August 30, meaning some players should use instant transmission to get to their PC or console and start increasing their power.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC, Mobile, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
