Fortnite challenges players to complete a new set of epic quests each season, rolling them out on Thursday every week. In Chapter 2, Season 6 Week 10, one challenge is to deal damage to descending supply drops. This is just one challenge that is available this week, and players will need to finish the quest to destroy opponent's structures in a modded vehicle to get access to it.

Supply drops will randomly appear on the map over the course of a match. These blue crates drop down to the ground with the aid of large balloons. Players can interact with them to crack them open, scoring healing and shielding items, along with ammo and weapons. They can be hotly contested in Fortnite matches, as they drop some high-value items.

Dealing damage to the supply drops is simple, as all players need to do is shoot them. They will need to shoot the balloons, not the blue crates. It should also be noted that the damage done will only count while the balloon is descending. Any supply drop that has already reached the ground or stopped moving due to a tree or building will not count toward that challenge.

The real trick to making this challenge as simple as possible is to find a Sniper Rifle. With every player on the map looking to shoot the supply drops as soon as they appear, finding a Sniper Rifle as ground loot or from a chest can provide a major advantage. The extended range and impressive one-shot damage will allow players to wrap this challenge up in no time. While there are no strange Sniper Rifle variations in the pool of Season 6 weapons, the standard versions are still available in matches.

Players on PC can be extra efficient by finishing up this challenge while also working on the challenges for the Shadow Ruby pack available for free in the Item Shop. There is always so much to do in Fortnite that it makes sense for players to try to get two or three different challenges completed in the same match.

With just five weeks left in the season, Fortnite players will want to get through the various challenges as quickly as they can. With the season coming to a close, players will be running out of time to earn experience to unlock all the Chapter 2 Season 6 battle pass outfits. Finishing the weekly challenges is worth 24,000 XP, so it will help players to rank up their battle pass quickly.

Fortnite is available now on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
