The leaker Wenso said that this new mechanic would allow players to swing from ropes and chandeliers built into a new iteration of the game's map. Players will reportedly be able to climb and rappel down the ropes as well. If this rumor is indeed true, rope swinging and climbing could add a lot to the traversal mechanics of Fortnite. It would be unsurprising to see the mechanic added in Chapter 5 Season 2 accompanying a map update if this leak turns out to be credible.
