New leaks suggest that Fortnite Chapter 5 might be launching before the end of the year. There's no denying that there was something special about Chapter 1's map for everyone that played Fortnite back in the early days. The nostalgia might help, but the community is very attached to that first battle royale map. As soon as UEFN - also known as Creative 2.0 - came out, some of the first islands that creators uploaded were remakes of the OG Fortnite map. These maps got a lot of traction despite some missing features and significant bugs.Chapter 2 went live with the notorious Black Hole event, which replaced the first map. At first, it took some time for gamers to get used to the change, but eventually, many grew accustomed to it. Chapter 1 had 10 seasons, Chapter 2 had eight seasons, Chapter 3 only had four seasons, and it seems that Chapter 4 will soon be coming to an end as well.RELATED: Fortnite Leak Reveals Unexpected New Game ModeSeveral known leakers in the Fortnite community have shared that Season 4 will be the last season of Chapter 4, and it should be ending by the end of 2023. Leaker ShiinaBR shares that they believe Fortnite seasons will become a yearly ordeal instead of lasting nearly ten seasons. This theory would make sense given that Chapter 3 started in early December 2021 and ended in early December 2022.

While some players were excited to hear that major changes would happen more often, others were disappointed to see that the Chapter 4 map might only be around for another six months. Many fans also think that this could mean that Fortnite live events will only happen once a year whenever the chapter changes, instead of each time a new season comes around.

Even if Chapter 4 only has a few more months to go before it's gone for good, it certainly still has a lot to give. Next season, players can expect to see Chapter 2's Fortnite Raptors make a return with a brand-new jungle biome, and it seems like they'll be rideable this time around as well. Some fans believe that the hot spring by Mega City is an inactive volcano and that it'll erupt and destroy the city in the near future. Only time will tell if this is actually true or not, but it would certainly make for a great live event for the end of the chapter.

Fortnite is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
