With a brand-new chapter greeting players in Fortnite, it was inevitable that the game continues to reinvent itself by adding brand-new POIs. These Points of Interest are great locations to explore and land at from the battle bus, and Fortnite’s new chapter is bound to add more POIs over the next couple of months, and Seasons to greet Fortnite Chapter 4.

There are not many POIs in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 compared to Fortnite’s other Chapters and Seasons, but the map is brand new, with plenty sure to be added before the inevitable Fortnite Chapter 5. These are the best Fortnite POIs to land a feature in the latest season of the newest chapter.

9 Shattered Slabs

There isn't much on offer for players at Shattered Slabs. The location itself is interesting for lore reasons, with some unknown properties of the kinetic rocks that can be found in bulk at this location. However, Shatterlabs suffers from different height advantages and large wells of water that can slow the player down.

It's not the worst POI in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1, but it isn't the best. Shattered Slabs offer little protection thanks to the height advantage of those above the water level, but plenty of buildings offer some loot.

8 Frenzy Fields

The beauty of Frenzy Fields is how it gives off strong Fortnite Chapter 1 vibes. Anarchy Acers was one of the oldest and most loved locations on the original map, for a long time too. Frenzy Fields brings some of those feelings back, with a barn, house, and many open fields for frolicking and destroying.

The biggest problem with Frenzy Fields is how much of a frenzy it actually is. It can be a popular drop spot, with not a lot of locations within the POI to visit. The many open fields and barns mean that weapons feel scarce.

7 Faulty Splits

There's a pretty little town waiting for players to explore in Faulty Splits. This location seems to be absent from the medieval theme that is spread throughout the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1 map. Faulty Splits even features a bowling alley, but sadly, players cannot put aside their differences and get some strikes.

This location features plenty of buildings, with some highly intense chases bound to happen as players land at the POI, desperate in a search for weapons. There are plenty of weapons to be found at this chest-obsessed location.

6 Sloppy Shores

Sloppy Shores is split into two areas via a bridge. Across one end, is a place filled with buildings and more modern designs. On the other end is a factory. Both are comprised of loot galore, with much to be desired for players in their quest for the best weapons to destroy the other Loopers.

The conflict in Sloppy Shores arises from the fact that it can be a popular drop, and that the loot on either side of the location makes a confrontation inevitable. Some players may find themselves encountering other players hiding in buildings they seek to loot.

5 Anvil Square

Anvil Square is another gentle location and a fairly safe place to land. The location consists of medieval-styled buildings and castles, with a town square ripe for a battleground. Anvil Square is a great area for players to land, whether that's in solos or squads.

The closeness of buildings means that players will be able to collect a great amount of loot, while staying close to one another, ensuring they won't get killed when looting. The Capture Point as Anvil Square also has a decent cover, meaning players can claim the location as their own.

4 The Citadel

fortnite the citadel

Perhaps the central location to the incoming lore of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 1, The Citadel is the base of the hostile NPC that resides there, the Ageless. This boss can be challenging due to the Shockwave Hammer and doesn't reward much other than the loot one can easily find in a chest. The Citadel itself is a sprawling castle, and it's easy to get lost here.

With a location towering above the rest of the island, The Citadel may seem like a great spot to clear out enemies and hunker down for the oncoming storm circles, but it's impressive in design only, and with tight corridors inside the castle, lacks a great landing spot.

3 Breakwater Bay

A fairly consistent Fortnite POI is Breakwater Bay. This location seems like a quiet little fishing village, with plenty of dainty houses to explore and loot from. Breakwater Bay is separated into a few villages, each comprised of its chests and loot.

It's a great area for squads, as players will be able to stick together and all share the loot. There's also a capture flag, which grants bonus loot and makes players aware of nearby chests. Breakwater Bay is certainly a good POI to get the Victory Royale.

2 Lonely Labs

fortnite lonely labs

There's a reason Lonely Labs is called such, as the location is very isolated from other POIs. Lonely Labs is a rather cold location, with many research stations and hangers spread across the giant block of ice it resides on.

The only way to free one's self from Lonely Labs is from the wind tunnels or zip lines spread throughout the location, meaning it can be a fortress from within, but hard to escape. Loot can be a decent find, but that competes with the people that also land at Lonely Labs, looking for a safe and chilling location.

1 Brutal Bastion

fortnite brutal bastion

As far as fortresses go, Brutal Bastion is quite an impressive feat. The location is filled with zip lines and launch pads, enabling players to have a quick getaway. The location is sprawling with interiors, filled with corridors that can be hidden behind, as well as plenty of loot laying around just waiting to be used.

Brutal Bastion exists in the snow biome of the Fortnite Chapter 4 map, meaning it’s plenty cold and pretty dark. It's a vast location to explore, with plenty of ways to infiltrate, meaning it's not always the safest location to land.

Fortnite is available to play for free on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
