Fortnite Leak Indicates Zero Build Won't Be Vaulted

It seems that Fortnite's Zero Build game mode might hang around next season, but it raises a few questions regarding another potential removal.

With the end of Chapter 4 Season 4 just around the corner, Fortnite has finally started to tease the upcoming season with a not-so-subtle in-game hint. Mega City now has billboards displaying what appears to be Chapter 1's sky, and in the background, players will immediately be able to recognize the original lobby music track.

While it has not been explicitly confirmed, many fans are now convinced that at least some parts of the original Fortnite map will come back for the upcoming season. It's even possible that the map will be entirely changed and revert back to what it once was, but that remains to be seen.

A while back, leaks indicated that Fortnite chapters would be significantly shorter and that Chapter 4 would come to an end before the end of the year. If this turns out to be true, that means this will be the last season of the chapter, and as it's customary, the current map will be wiped out and replaced. There's a chance that the map that replaced this one is actually one that some gamers have played on before. Many fans have asked Epic Games to reenable the old Fortnite map, so if this rumor turns out to be true, a lot of players will be satisfied with the next season.

Fortnite is available for Mobile, PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
