Anyone who plays games has probably come across their fair share of glitches in the past. Some glitches can be game-breaking and frustrating, while other glitches may actually enhance an experience and provide tons of laughs for players. It seems like Fortnite players are discovering the latter scenario with a new glitch that allows the newly added cars to take flight.

Entering Season 3 of Chapter 2 in Fortnite, players were excited to finally be able to drive a car throughout the battle royale. However, fans have been waiting for weeks to get behind the wheel of this new feature. Epic Games had been citing the coronavirus pandemic as a reason for the long delay and typically fans have been understanding, but this news was pretty upsetting to the fan base. Fans were afraid that at this point the cars would miss just about all of Season 3 altogether but finally, the drivable cars have made it into the game. Although, this new glitch could cause the vehicles to be removed temporarily based on Epic's past handling of glitches and exploits.

Getting a car to fly in Fortnite takes a little bit of trickery and precision but all in all, it's a pretty easy glitch to replicate. Players must first travel to the bridge between Lazy Lake and Retail Row where a truck carrying a load of logs is parked. Players must break the load of logs and then place a gas can in a specific spot between the cabin of the truck and the tail, basically right in the gap where the parts of the truck meet. Once the gas can is in place, players must enter the truck and rock it back and forth which will eventually send the truck into the sky.

YouTuber OrangeGuy, who is popular for glitch videos, has put together a video for this flying car glitch showing the steps to complete the glitch and the desired result. OrangeGuy does mention in the video that the glitch could work with other vehicles but that he hasn't tested any as of yet.

Fortnite is no stranger to glitches and game-breaking issues. Recently, Epic Games had to disable boats from the game after a glitch was found that would send players out of the map. If players rode a boat through the waterfall near Coral Castles, they would slowly drown in the out of bounds area. After multiple reports of the bug, Epic announced on Twitter that it would be removing boats until a fix could be rolled out. It may only be a matter of hours before Epic decides to remove cars for a similar reason.

While driving cars is one way that Fortnite is attempting to stay fresh, it looks like the gaming giant may have another event coming up to keep players interested. According to a new rumor, a new Marvel crossover event could be coming to Fortnite by bringing a giant-sized villain. Apparently, running a sound file from the game through a spectrogram, an outline of character appears that has a striking resemblance to the Marvel baddie Galactus.

Fortnite is available now for Android, iOS, Mac, Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
