Anyone who is even remotely familiar with Fortnite knows of the game's penchant for character crossovers, regularly adding characters spanning a wide array of different franchises. That trend continues this week, with Street Fighter's Blanka and Sakura officially announced to set foot on the island.

The popular free-to-play battle royale title from Epic Games announced the addition of Blanka and Sakura via a post on its official website. The pair of World Warriors marks the third Street Fighter crossover pack, making the Capcom franchise the most prominent fighting game presence in Fortnite.

How to Get Blanka and Sakura Skins in Fortnite

In celebration of Street Fighter''s 35th anniversary, both Blanka and Sakura are coming to Fortnite with a bevy of cosmetics for players to enjoy. Blanka's skins comprise both his regular wildman appearance from Street Fighter 5 and a more refined, suited look inspired by Rival School's Boman Delgado.

The Blanka-Chan Back Bling gathers electricity with eliminations, and the Tropical Hazard Kebab Pickaxe features a variety of fruits. The Blanka Backflip Emote recreates the character's K.O. victory pose.

For Sakura, the number one Ryu fan comes with two Fortnite skin variants: her standard blue-skirted appearance, and the Sakura Gym alt style inspired by Street Fighter 4.

Equipped with Sakura's Victory Sway Emote, the character also comes with the Hanakaze Claw Back Bling, Fighting Tournament Trophy Pickaxe, and Kayari Buta Glider. Unfortunately, the only way to acquire either skin is through Fortnite's Item Shop, as the skins are expected to go live on April 28.

Players can still technically get a piece of the new Street Fighter content for free, but only if they place well enough in the Blanka and Sakura Cup, with the top performers rewarded with the Bonus Stage Loading Screen.

Blanka and Sakura join Ryu and Chun-Li, and more recently Cammy and Guile, making for a total of six different Street Fighter characters in Fortnite.

In addition to rolling out more crossover skins, Fortnite has released a new hotfix this week. The update adds a new conflict on the island, dubbed the Battle for Rocky Reels. As with other POI battles on the island this season, players must fight back three waves of IO Guards at different points in the named location with Seven Sentry AI spawning in as support. The hotfix also unvaults the fan-favorite Light Machine Gun in all rarities.

Additionally, Fortnite has recently released a skin for Marvel's Moon Knight, based on the character's appearance in the Disney+ series.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
