Fortnite Season OG is quite literally going out with a bang, as the Big Bang live event will mark its ending and another milestone in Fortnite history. Ever since it was removed with the launch of Chapter 2, many Fortnite fans have asked Epic Games to bring back the OG map. It took a few years but it finally happened with the release of Fortnite OG. This season players got to explore the Athena island once again, acquire remixed versions of their favorite skins from Chapter 1, and relive the good times they had with OG items, such as the X-4 Stormwing, the Pump Shotgun, and the Tactical SMG.

Ever since Fortnite OG started in early November, gamers were aware that this would be a shorter season with a smaller Battle Pass, and they would only have about one month to play. Fortnite Season OG's end is near, and many fans have begun to wonder what could come next. Since the Chapter 4 map won't be making a comeback, most of the community believes that Fortnite will enter Chapter 5 at the start of December.

A Fortnite player discovers a deadly glitch while exploring one of the classic Chapter 1 locations brought back with the Season 5 OG map.

Fans will be able to experience Fortnite's next live event on December 2, 2023, at 2 PM ET. The live event is called The Big Bang, and according to Epic Games, it will mark a new beginning for Fortnite. Additionally, it's been leaked that the event will feature Eminem. Initially, the event was supposed to be rated E, which meant players wouldn't be able to use skins rated E10+ or T. However, after the community's negative feedback on cosmetic items' age rating restrictions, Epic Games has also decided to make all cosmetics available during the live event.

When is the Fortnite Big Bang Event?

• Saturday, December 2 at 2pm ET

Downtime for the upcoming season will start at 11:30 PM ET - nine and a half hours after the event. However, all Fortnite playlists, except Creator-made experiences, will be disabled two hours prior to the event. This means that, after 12 PM ET on December 2, players will only be able to join the event or play Fortnite Creative mode.

According to iFireMonkey, a known leaker in the community, this is one of the biggest live events in Fortnite history, and it will add brand-new modes, such as LEGO mode, Rocket Racing mode, and Festival mode. Various details on the first two game modes had already surfaced, but the latter was only very recently datamined. Leaks indicate that the upcoming Fortnite Festival mode will feature famous artists like Lady Gaga, Alice Cooper, and Linkin Park.
