Fortnite has seen a number of exciting crossovers in the past few years. Since the game’s launch, Fortnite has seen appearance from characters across several franchises, from film icons like Ellen Ripley, Sarah Connor, and even John Wick, to the heroes and villains of both Marvel and DC Comics, and even a vast array of celebrities such as Travis Scott and Ariana Grande to name a few.

Starting with Chapter 2 Season 5, Fortnite introduced a new subseries of characters labeled “Gaming Legends," which saw the appearances of new characters based on legendary video game characters, from God of War’s Kratos to Street Fighter’s Ryu and Chun-Li. Since then, more characters have been added to the mix, such as Lara Croft and Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn.

In a recent survey for Fortnite, Epic Games teased that there were a variety of other characters from other franchises that the development team have been wanting to collaborate with, but wanted fan feedback on whom they wanted to see come to the island first. And now, courtesy of new leaks, it seems the first of these characters may be making an appearance soon.

Twitter user Shiina, who has previously leaked news and material from Fortnite, has revealed the renders of Ezio Auditore da Firenze, one of the many protagonists of Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed series. According to this render, the Fortnite skin will be pulled from Ezio’s appearance in Assassin’s Creed 2, where the character first made his debut.

With so many iconic gaming franchises like Haloand Gears of War making an appearance, it only makes sense that Assassin’s Creed would be making an appearance in the franchise soon enough. It was also a smart idea of Epic to have Ezio be the character to represent the franchise in this game, as he was the star of three other titles in the series, namely the aforementioned Assassin’s Creed 2, as well as the follow-ups Brotherhood and Revelations.

With the Assassin’s Creed franchise spotlighting Ezio again, with The Ezio Collection having been released on Nintendo Switch last month, it’s nice to see the character be represented in the one of the biggest video games of all time. Now, this leaves lots of speculation as to what character will be making an appearance on the island in the future.
