Locked Labyrinths are similar to dungeons with multiple rooms full of enemies in Forspoken. According to the game, Labyrinths are ancient underground locations that have a connection with the Tantas. Many dangerous creatures lurk inside of them and a slumbering boss awaits players at the end.

However, despite all the dangers that exist inside Labyrinths in Forspoken, players will be rewarded for their troubles. Upon defeating the boss, an Altar awaits Frey in the room behind the enemy that’ll reward special equipment, be it a Cloak, a Necklace, or Nails.

Rooms

Enemies

First Room

This room is filled with Boggarts and Breakzombies. Frey’s Magic will do just fine especially since it’s an early-game Labyrinth.

Second Room

The second room has two Limnocyons and a Chapalania.

Boss Room

The Lesser Deinosuchus is relatively easy, as long as players know how to fight it.

Reward

The Orison Necklace.

This Labyrinth is pretty straightforward, there are no extra rooms or anything. Players need to clear monsters found in the first two rooms and then proceed to the boss room. Additionally, Frey can pick up a decent number of Mana Pools from the rooms and empty hallways before facing the boss.

Tips to defeat The Lesser Deinosuchus:

  • Use the firewood outside the boss door to make Campfire in Forspoken and craft some Healing Draughts if necessary.
  • Do not swim in the waters even if the boss submerges its body and disappears completely under the water. Instead, use parkour to leap from one platform to another.
  • If by any chance players fall in the waters, use the sprint button to swim faster.
  • Try to stand on the platform closest to the Lesser Deinosuchus. The area is quite large, so Frey won’t be able to hit the boss if she's too far.
  • If players have multiple Magic types, use Frey Magic.

Locked Labyrinths: Hill In The Blessed Plains

Rooms

Enemies

First Room

To defeat the Riven Carcasses and Riven Claws scattered around the room, use Sila’s Magic.

Second Room

Sila’s Magic won’t reach Abyssal Riven Wings in this room so revert to Frey’s Magic.

Boss Room

The Proto Jabberwock is a deer-like boss that will spawn enemies to help it win the fight.

Reward

The Divers Cloak.

The Locked Labyrinths: Hill can only be reached using the Zip Spell. Sadly, the Spell is unattainable unless players defeat Tanta Sila in Forspoken. Additionally, the Spell is also required to travel inside the Labyrinth, so cheating their way to the top of the hill won’t work.

Similar to the previous Labyrinth, this one is also pretty simple and has no extra rooms. The first and second room has monsters that Frey need to defeat. To reach the third room, use the Zip Spell to swing to the other side.

But, make sure to drop to the lowest platform because there’s a puzzle chest that rewards Old Coins in Forspoken and some Mana Pools.

Tips to defeat the Proto Jabberwock:

  • The Proto Jabberwock is vulnerable to Frey’s Magic.
  • Focus on the boss instead of its minion since the Proto Jabberwock will keep spawning enemies no matter how many Frey defeat.
  • When enemies become annoying, use Sila’s or Frey’s Surge Spell to kill many of them at once.
  • Hide behind the platforms or pillars when the boss uses its giant eye to glare and inflict damage.
  • When attacking, try to aim at the eye to cause heavy damage.

Forspoken is now available on PS5 and PC.
