Walking around the Forspoken map takes a lot of time and effort since Frey doesn’t use any transportation method to move from one area to another. That makes Fast Traveling a basic need in Forspoken, as it facilitates players’ exploration around the vast land of Athia. The land has many scattered puzzles to solve, locked Labyrinths to explore, cities to free, and various chests to open.

Fast Traveling can enhance players' gameplay experience and make reaching their desired destination easier. Teleporting is needed whether it is to go to a specific side or main quest location or to explore a particular area in Forspoken.

How To Fast Travel In Forspoken

To Fast Travel in Forspoken, players need to use the unlocked Pilgrim's Refuges and Belfry Towers on the map. However, using these two teleportation ports is not available in the first two chapters of Forspoken. Leaving Cipal City in the third chapter forces players to embark on a wildlife journey where they must follow through Frey's Journey: Her Father's Findings main quest.

During the quest, Frey will come across her first Pilgrim’s Refuge. This is where the orphan girl can craft items, enhance her magic skills, take a nap to restore her HP, or upgrade her equipment in Forspoken. Also, it should be known that every Refuge has some different items scattered around it.

To unlock Fast Traveling, players should follow Frey's Journey: Her Father's Findings' main quest during chapter three in Forspoken. The quest requires Frey to leave Cipal City to locate Auden's dad's journals and bring them back to her. The protagonist will discover her first Pilgrim's Refuge shortly after encountering a Fount of Blessing. Diving into the latter will reward players with the Leap Spell in Forspoken.

The only way to unlock a Pilgrim's Refuge is by entering the small inn in Forspoken. Luckily for players, the Refuges are marked by a small house icon on the map, so it's easy to locate.

How To Unlock Belfry Towers As A Fast Travel Option

To unlock a Belfry Tower as a Fast Travel waypoint, players need to locate the tower and then walk to its center. Doing so will scan the nearby areas and tell players the locations of different villages, Refuge, Monuments, Resources, Chests, and Labyrinth locations on the nearby map fragment.

The Belfry Towers used to be Landmarks that helped the Pilgrims find their way back home. The bell attached to it is not just for decoration but was used by the Pilgrims to warn of danger.

It should be noted that ignoring the tower or just passing by it won't work, as it needs a proper scan with Cuff to unlock it as a teleport waypoint. So players should be thorough with their exploration if they wish to open as many Fast Traveling options around Athia.

Forspoken is now available on PS5 and PC.
