Chapter 9 of Forspoken is a relatively simple one, with both the player and Frey given a quiet moment to mull over the information that was provided to them by Tanta Prav at the end of Chapter 8. It's also a good opportunity to try out some of Frey's new skills, which come courtesy of the recently deceased Tanta of Justice.

Those who thought that Chapter 8 of Forspoken was a little on the short side are in for another shock, as Breaking Point can be completed in even less time. If players are quick with the traversal section at the beginning of the chapter, it's possible to finish it in under ten minutes, making it the shortest of Forspoken's 13 chapters.

How to Use Glide

Following a short conversation with Cuff, players will be prompted to head toward the nearby quest marker, where they'll be given a chance to test out some of Prav's offensive magic. As one might expect, it's mainly water-based attacks, which can be incredibly effective against certain enemy types. More importantly, perhaps, with three different types of elemental magic now at their disposal, no enemies will be able to resist all of Frey's attacks, which makes combat much easier from here on out.

After dealing with the enemies, players will need to climb up a stone wall to the left of some nearby waterfalls, which will lead them to a giant lake at the side of Avoalet Castle. Here, they'll be prompted to try out Prav's Glide spell, which can be used by holding either the Circle (PlayStation) or B (Xbox) button while moving over water. It's an incredibly useful skill when it comes to traversing the world of Athia, though players should be sure to keep an eye on their stamina while using it.

Return to Cipal

After completing the Glide tutorial, players will need to return to Cipal. The fastest way to do so is using fast travel, which will take them right to the city gates. From there, they should head to the upper city and climb the stone steps toward the council chambers. Inside, they'll be greeted by some very sad faces and an emotional cutscene will ensue. Once the cutscene is over, the chapter will come to an abrupt end. Players will then be prompted to save the game before beginning Forspoken's tenth chapter, None the Wiser.

Forspoken is available now on PS5 and PC.
