The Warner Bros. Japan Anime YouTube channel revealed the first opening for the upcoming JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean anime, which is set to stream on Netflix starting December 1st.

The channel held an hour-long “before the release” live stream on Sunday, showing off the new opening and revealing some important casting news.

The theme, “STONE OCEAN” is performed by rock band Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets. The group came to prominence with the release of their debut single "Highschool of the Dead" which served as the opening for the 2010 anime of the same name. Since then, they’ve done work on popular anime like Strike The Blood, GATE, and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime.

Kamikaze Douga returns to do the animation for the opening. The Shibuya-based studio worked on the series’ opening animations up until Stardust Crusaders, and has also worked on the Batman Ninja animated film as well as the Star Wars Visions short, “The Duel”.

The stream also revealed that veteran voice actor Tomokazu Seki will be voicing Enrico Pucci. Seki is best known for being the voice behind Jujutsu Kaisen’s Panda, Gilgamesh in the Fate franchise, and Shinya Kougami from Psycho-Pass alongside other notable roles in Stens;Gate, Doraemon, and more.

Stone Ocean will stream its first 12 episodes on Netflix from December 1st and will air on Japanese TV later on in January. Tokyo MX, BS11, MBS, and Animax will broadcast the series once it’s set to air on TV.

Daisuke Ono will reprise his role as Jotaro Kujo while Fairouz Ai will voice Jolyne. Miyuki Sawashiro previously voiced the character in the 2015 video game, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Eyes of Heaven. Mutsumi Tamura will voice Ermes Costello, with Mariya Ise and Yūichirō Umehara voicing Foo Fighters and Weather Report, respectively.
