With one wave of DLC already available to players, Fire Emblem Engage will continue its Expansion Pass with three additional waves. These will give players access to new Emblem characters, along with additional Emblem paralogues and even expanded story content in the form of Wave 4's Fell Xenologue.

In addition to the Emblem of Rivals, which contains Edelgard, Dimitri and Claude from Fire Emblem: Three Houses, and the Emblem of the Dragon Princess, which contains Tiki, the Expansion Pass for Fire Emblem Engage will offer player five additional Emblems across its next two waves. Each new DLC Emblem looks to shake up gameplay by bringing new mechanics unique to their home games. With a mix of popular and niche characters returning, the upcoming DLC waves should be exciting for both new and veteran fans of the series.

Hector

The first Emblem included as a part of Wave 2 in Fire Emblem Engage is Hector, representing the Emblem of Strength. He originally appeared as a major figure in Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade, and later became playable alongside Lyn in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade - or simply Fire Emblem outside of Japan. As a part of that game's trio of lords, Hector is the Prince and later Marquess of Ostia who plays a prominent role as the main character of one storylines.

Soren

Another addition included in Wave 2 is Soren, a mage and tactician representing the Emblem of Acumen. Soren appears as Ike's close friend and advisor within the Greil Mercenaries in Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. His inclusion marks the third character in Fire Emblem Engage coming from this duology after Ike and Micaiah. As a powerful magic user, Soren could find himself among Emblem Micaiah and Celica as a strong option for enhancing tome-wielding units.

Camilla

The third Emblem that comprises Wave 2 of DLC for Fire Emblem Engage is Camilla, representing the Emblem of Revelation. Camilla originates from Fire Emblem Fates where she is a princess of Nohr and one of four children of King Garon. In Fire Emblem Fates: Conquest and Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation, she will be an ally to the player, but will instead be an adversary in Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright. Her skill as a Malig Knight atop the back of a wyvern allow her to affect the terrain as an Emblem in Fire Emblem Engage.

Chrom/Robin

Similar to Emblem Eirika sharing the Emblem of the Sacred with her brother Ephraim, Wave 3's first new Emblem consists of both Chrom and Robin representing the Emblem of Bonds. Both characters debuted in Fire Emblem: Awakening, which featured the pair up mechanic that allowed two units to occupy one space and attack in tandem. With Fire Emblem Engage doing a great job of representing mechanics from past Fire Emblem titles, Chrom and Robin are sure to offer players a unique way to dish out both sword and magic-based attacks reminiscent of their home game.

Veronica

The final Emblem included as part of Wave 3 comes from the mobile title Fire Emblem Heroes. Veronica, aptly representing the Emblem of Heroes, originally appears as the main antagonist of the mobile title but later becoming a playable protagonist with her powerful tome Elivagar. Due to the game's gacha mechanic for summoning new Heroes, Emblem Veronica gains the ability to summon additional allies to battle in Fire Emblem Engage, a twist that could open the door for a new randomized combat element.

Fire Emblem Engage is available now for Nintendo Switch.
