Fire Emblem Engage has a ton of optional content for players to participate in, including the Tower of Trials, standing ominously at the southernmost edge of the Somniel. This Tower allows players to take part in several different challenge maps to earn additional rewards.

One such challenge in Fire Emblem Engage is the Relay Trial, which allows players to take part in a coop relay battle, handing off command to another player after a set number of turns and attempting to achieve victory.

How to Get Relay Tickets

In order for players to obtain Relay Tickets, they simply need to progress the main story until the Tower of Trials is unlocked. At this point players will receive their first Relay Ticket instantly and with little Fanfare. From this point onward, players will receive one Relay Ticket each real-world day when they visit the Somniel.

In the event that visiting the Somniel doesn't seem to grant a ticket and 24 hours have definitely passed since the last one, players should head to the Tower of Trials and select Relay Trial. After leaving the Tower, this should cause the game to check again and provide the ticket.

How to Use Relay Tickets

Relay Tickets currently only have one use in the game, which is to gain access to a certain challenge at the Tower of Trials. While the Tempest Trial and Outrealm Trial do not require any tickets to play and can be accessed freely, Relay Trial requires players to expend Relay Tickets in order to participate and are thus limited by the number of tickets the player possesses.

In a Relay Trial, players participate in battle for a set number of turns before passing the reins to another player who does the same, and the chain continues until the battle is won. Somewhat similar to a Relay Race, this challenge requires players to work together to succeed and offers excellent rewards on completion. Once a player's part in the Relay Trial is over, they can leave the Tower of Trials and carry on with other activities, and check back later to see if the battle was won and claim their rewards.

Relay Trials can be an excellent and rather unconventional means of collecting additional resources and items, and are also just a rather unusual but fun challenge, so gathering up some Relay Tickets and taking a crack at it is certainly worth the effort.
