Fire Emblem Engage, like many Fire Emblem Games, has an S-Rank Support conversation that the protagonist can trigger with an ally, granting an additional scene and altering the ending slightly. In this game players gain access to these conversations by giving one of the other characters the Pact Ring.

Fire Emblem Engage's S-Rank Support item, the Pact Ring, is found by completing the game's final Paralogue. Once acquired, it allows players to gift it to a unit that has reached A-rank support with Alear to trigger the S-Rank Support Conversation. Unlocking the Pact Ring and giving it to someone is optional, and this guide will explain it in more detail. Please be aware that the section "Does this Effect Gameplay?" contains spoilers for Chapters 21 and 22.

How to Get the Pact Ring

Fire Emblem Heroes Engage Alear Female

The Pact Ring can only be obtained after completing Chapters 21and 22, by heading to the newly available Paralogue to the right of Lythos Castle, called "The Connector". This is a tricky Paralogue where players face off with a large army of corrupted to recover a ring that resembles an Emblem Ring. After beating the Corrupted carrying the ring a ton of reinforcements appear and players must clean out the map to clear the Paralogue and claim the ring.

After the battle, a brief history of the Pact Ring is revealed, and Alear takes it with them. From this point onward it can be retrieved from the Drawer in Alear's room on the Somniel at any time.

How to Use the Pact Ring

Alear and exploring The Somniel in Fire Emblem Engage

After retrieving the Pact Ring from the Connector Paralogue, players are able to take the ring out from the Drawer in Alear's room, and gift it to any character on the Somniel who they have achieved A-Rank Support with.

Since the characters that can be found around the Somniel change with the time of day, players might need to rest in the bed and advance time until the character they're looking for is available. Which characters are in which locations can be checked using the Somniel Map.

The Pact Ring can only be given to one character, so players should choose who to give it to carefully. There is only one gameplay change from gifting the Pact Ring, excluding the changes to the ending, so it's totally fine for players to just choose their favorite character. When the Ring is given to someone, it triggers a special bond conversation and raises their Support Rank to the final level.

When the Bond Ring is given to a character it also unlocks Bond Rank 21 between them and Alear's Emblem Form, granting access to the skill "Boon of Elyos." This powerful skill grants a boost to the Crit and Dodge of both Alear and the holder of the Pact Ring equal to double the number of allies that have already acted this turn, potentially granting them a huge boost while engaged.

Fire Emblem Engage is available for Nintendo Switch.
