Fire Emblem Engage has a brand-new set of DLC Emblem Bracelets, released on February 8th. Three more DLC Emblems have been added to the game, and along with them, Engage also added three more battlegrounds. One of the new DLC characters is Hector, one of the three heroes of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. This will make him an Emblem Linking partner to Lyn, who is also one of the heroes from that game. But in order to get his bracelet and add Hector to the team, players will first have to prove themselves in battle and defeat the Brash General.

Fire Emblem Engage DLC: The Brash General

Players will start this DLC map with a selection of 8 Fire Emblem Engage Units. Choose the best team with a variety of different kinds of units; there are all sorts of different types on the field to take on. Make sure to bring along a couple of mages, as Hector has very low Resistance. On this map, players will notice a handful of purple caves; each cave shoots out a stream of gas that poisons any unit in the way, enemy or friendly. Make sure to use this to Alear and the team's advantage by poisoning enemies.

RELATED: Features That Should Stay From Fire Emblem Engage

The units players will have to battle will depend on what difficulty players are on and how far along they are in the story. Keep an eye out for crit weapons, magical weapons, and advanced units. Players will have to look over each one to see what kind of enemies they will have to take on. The level of units also changes how many Revival Stones Hector will have when the battle begins --he can have one or two.

Hector is armored, unbreakable, and anchored. He has a lot of physical defense but very low magic defense, so players should take advantage of that fact. Here are all of his attacks and passives.

  • Storm's Eye - Engage attack - Gives immunity to break, prevents the foe from following up. Then Hector follows up if able; this lasts 1 turn.
  • If returning Fire Emblem hero Hector's HP is 80% or more, he always gets to follow up if his weapon allows.
  • Heavy Attack - If the weapon is heavier than his build, he gets up to 5 extra attack.
  • Adaptability - Hector gets Def +2 when someone attacks him with a physical attack. He gets Res +2 when players hit him with magic.
  • Impenetrable - If someone attacks him, he gets 50% increased def and res.
  • His first weapon is a Wolf Beil Axe, which is a pretty strong axe with a bonus against cavalry and armored units.
  • Hector also has a Runesword; this weapon can restore his HP and has a range of 1-2.
  • His last weapon is Armads, a Lightning charged axe that gives an additional +5 to his defense and is effective against dragon units.

Out on the field, the moment the battle begins, there will be several staff users with break staffs that will immediately break units. Keep this in mind when moving units forward into attack range. At the end of turns 4 and 7, more units will spawn on the battlefield near where players entered. Once units step into the lane where Hector is, he will engage and begin to move forward.

There are two possible bonus dialogue situations: one when Divine Dragon Alear engages Hector for the first time, and the other is if players beat Hector while in possession of Lyn.
