The DLC for Fire Emblem Engage offers players several new Emblems to collect, some of which can create the most devastating combos in the game when paired with the right unit. Along with new Emblems, the DLC gives players a chance to play through a handful of special paralogues associated with all but one of the DLC Emblems based on levels from their home games. Players can access a total of 6 new paralogues across 3 waves of DLC for Fire Emblem Engage, unlocking their associated Emblems after completion.

The only DLC Emblem without an associated paralogue is the Emblem of Rivals, which contains Edelgard, Dimitri, and Claude from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. To obtain this Emblem after purchasing the expansion, players must interact with the Lookout Ridge location in the Somniel after Chapter 6, triggering an event that grants players the Emblem of Rivals. After this Emblem has been acquired, the other DLC paralgoues will become available, showing up on the map like any other chapter and needing to be completed in order to unlock their associated Emblem.

Tiki

The other Emblem available in the first wave of DLC is the Emblem of the Dragon Princess, which contains Tiki. For Tiki's DLC paralogue, The Ancestor, players are transported to the Dragon Temple, a frozen fortress filled with enemies. This paralogue is based on Chapter 14 of Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem that has players lead Marth and his army through the Ice Dragon Temple where Tiki is being kept. In her home game, if players have collected all the Starsphere shards, they can obtain the Starsphere here and use it to recruit Tiki by talking to her with Marth.

Soren

Soren is one of the Emblems available in the second wave of DLC for Fire Emblem Engage. As the Emblem of Acumen, Soren is Ike's tactician within the Greil Mercenaries in both Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and its sequel, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. His paralogue, The Radiant Strategist, takes place at the Magma Cavern and is based on Chapter 3-8 from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. This chapter sees the Greil Mercenaries escape the grasp of General Zelgius and the Daein army thanks to Soren's dangerous gambit.

Hector

Along with Lyn and Eliwood, Hector is one of Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade's three lords, and one of the three Emblems available in the second wave of DLC for Fire Emblem Engage as well. Hector's DLC paralogue, The Brash General, has players navigate the trap-filled tunnels of Berserker's Hollow in reference to Chapter 30 of Hector's Story in Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. This chapter is significant because it is where Hector obtains Armads, one of the Legendary Weapons of Elibe and the iconic axe that he wields.

Camilla

The final Emblem of wave 2 is the Emblem of Revelation, which holds Camilla from Fire Emblem Fates. Her paralogue, The Doting Sister, takes place in the Underground Passage, a reference to Chapter 23 of Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright. This chapter pits players against Camilla as an enemy, given that they have sided with Hoshido in this version of the game. Camilla is the boss of the chapter, who attempts to prevent the player from escaping the Underground Passage, believing they have kidnaped her sister, Elise.

Chrom and Robin

Chrom and Robin both makeup the Emblem of Bonds, one of two new Emblems that make up the third wave of DLC. Their paralogue, The Shepard Exalt, takes place at the Altar of Destiny in reference to Chapter 23 of their home game, Fire Emblem: Awakening. This is a pivotal chapter for the game as it sees players face off against the leader of the Grimleal, Validar, who is able to take control of Robin and kill Chrom. However, it's soon revealed that Robin did not actually kill Chrom, but the pair faked his murder due to having seen these events occur in a premonition at the very beginning of the game.

Veronica

The final DLC Emblem available as part of wave 3 is Veronica, the Emblem of Heroes. Since Veronica hails from the mobile title, Fire Emblem Heroes, her paralogue is a bit different from her home game. Due to the limited map size of the mobile game, this paralogue, The Lonely Heir, doesn't represent one particular map from the game, but rather the World of Zenith as a whole. The World of Zenith is a series of floating islands that make up the prologue for Book 1 in Fire Emblem Heroes, which seems like a fitting location for heir to the Emblian Empire.

Fire Emblem Engage is available now for Nintendo Switch.
