The waves of DLC have provided the players with more Emblems to use during battle in the form of popular characters from the previous Fire Emblem titles. So far, with the three waves combined, the player has received 7 additional Emblems and some are arguably more useful than others on the battlefield.

7 Hector

Dwelling within the Bracelet of the Brash General, Hector is referred to as the Emblem of Strength. Rising from the game Fire Emblem: The Binding Blade firstly as a non-playable character, he gets his time to shine alongside Lyn and Eliwood in the game’s prequel, Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade.

As an Emblem, Hector makes the unit he’s synched to a tank. When a unit is Engaged, he grants the skill Impenetrable, which boosts Defense and Resistance by +30%. His Engage attack, Storm’s Eye, makes the unit unbreakable and allows the unit to follow up attacks while making the enemy unable to follow up on their own attacks.

6 Camilla

Camilla is the Emblem of Revelation and the second representative from the game Fire Emblem: Fates, after her younger sister, Corrin. Camilla Nohr royal family and is the second-eldest, after her brother Xander. Kind and loving to her family, she is, however, ruthless to her enemies on the battlefield.

Her Emblem allows the units she engages with to gain higher movement and fly over terrain even if they’re not a flying unit. Just like her sister Corrin, she grants the Dragon Vein ability, with some minor differences. Her Engage attack, Dark Inferno, allows the unit to damage multiple units around her which she afterward sets on fire.

5 Soren

Soren, the Emblem of Acumen, is a character that originally hails from the game Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, but also appears again in Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn. As the strategist of the Greil mercenaries, he is a cunning person with great wit, but can be cold to others often. He has a very close relationship with Ike and, together, they form a powerful team.

This Emblem grants an array of abilities to a unit but is preferably to be assigned to a magic-based unit due to Soren being a mage. Assign Decoy is a useful skill that allows the player to pick a single unit that will be targeted by enemy units. He also possesses a very long-range attack as his Engage Attack, named Bolting.

4 Veronica

Veronica, the Emblem of Heroes, is a character who’s originally not from a mainline Fire Emblem game, but from a mobile game, Fire Emblem Heroes. She’s also the first villain to be added as an Emblem, as she is a major villain throughout a big part of her game’s story.

Veronica has some very unique abilities, making her an interesting addition. One of those is Contract, which is a skill similar to Dance, but has one setback, being that while she gives an ally an additional turn, they cannot move from their position. Her Engage Attack, Summon Hero, is the most intriguing skill in the game, perhaps. It’s reminiscent of Fire Emblem Heroes’ Hero Summon gacha mechanic. In Engage, it allows Veronica to summon a random Emblem that can be controlled as an additional unit.

3 Chrom And Robin

Originally from the game Fire Emblem: Awakening, Chrom and Robin make a return in the most recent DLC wave as a duo bracelet. As the father of Lucina, Chrom is the leader of the Shepherds in his game and a powerful swordsman wielding the Falchion. Robin, on the other hand, is a cunning tactician that uses magic and swords and leads the Shepherds as their strategist.

One of the interesting skills this bracelet grants is Surprise Attack, which grants the synced unit an avoid bonus, while stopping enemies from counterattacking when the player’s unit initiates the battle. Other Half is an impressive magic boost that gives the unit +10 magic while Robin also chain attacks. The Engage Attack, Giga Levin Sword, is special as it is a magic attack that’s based on the unit’s physical strength.

2 Tiki

Tiki, also referred to as the Emblem of the Dragon Princess, is a powerful bracelet that can impact the player’s gameplay greatly. Tiki is a small girl from the Archanea series that debuted with Marth in the first Fire Emblem game, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light. As the Divine Dragon princess, she has the ability to shape shift from human to dragon.

Her bracelet grants the unit she’s synced with the same ability. When a unit Engages with Tiki, they transform into a dragon for 3 turns, which boosts all their stats and grants them the ability to use powerful attacks. Her most useful ability is the Divine Blessing, which grants an ally a revival stone, so, an additional health bar.

1 Three House Leaders

The Emblem of Rivals is that of the three House Leaders from the game Fire Emblem: Three Houses. Dimitri, Edelgard, and Claude make up this bracelet and their combined powers are what makes this Emblem the most powerful and useful among all the Emblems, even among the original 12 rings.

It’s the easiest bracelet to acquire as it doesn’t require the player to clear a map. The most interesting part of this bracelet is the ability to use the Combat Art of each one of the leaders, the best being Edelgard’s Raging Storm, which grants the unit an additional turn after using it.

Fire Emblem Engage is available now for Nintendo Switch.
