Princess Ivy is back from Chapter 8 of Engage, this time with her father King Hyacinth, who is looking for the blood of the Brodian king. • Second Seals - Allows Promoted units to change to another Fire Emblem Engage class of the same tier.

Some Fishing Info for Fire Emblem Engage

Fire-Emblem-Engage-Fish

Alear is able to play a fishing mini-game starting at the beginning of Chapter 9 of Fire Emblem Engage. This little game takes place in Somniel on the southwestern part of the hideout's map, and it's a pretty simple collection of QTEs.

  • After chatting Alcryst at the fish location, players will get a free fishing rod.
  • Fish meat makes for a wonderful cooking ingredient, necessary for many units' favorite foods. Be sure to stop by the cafe and cook up some treats to increase support between units and Alear.
  • Different fish will be available in different times of day.
  • If players dislike the fishing mini-game, they can also keep cats in their collection of outdoor pets; they also bring players fish meat.

Chapter 9's Battle with Princess Ivy

Before heading to this fight, players will want to stop by the item shop and armory to get:

  • The Thunder Tome
  • Rewarps for emergency moves
  • Healing items for all characters
  • Another long bow to keep enemies at a distance so both bow user Etie and Alcryst can have one.

Once at the Brodian Castle, players will see a cutscene with the King of Brodia and the King of Elusia. After this, the battle between Alear and Ivy and all their respective units will begin. This is the most challenging battle so far in Fire Emblem Engage, so players will need to be on their toes.

  • The Fire Emblem villain Ivy, even without an Engage, is still massively dangerous with her own skillset.
  • There are mage enemy units with Elsurge and Elfire, which is a better version of the Surge and Fire Tome. This can be a dangerous magic to run up against, so make sure to kill this mage quickly and still it for Fire Emblem Engage's Celine or Citrinne.
  • Enemies are all packed together in groups of five, so a mistake can easily cost a unit their life.
  • There are loads of armored units, flying mounted units, axe users, and lance users.
  • There is a lot of open space, which can cause units to become surrounded.

Thankfully, there is a new recruitable Fire Emblem unit in the middle of the battlefield named Jade. She will help, but only if players chat with her as Diamant or Alear. Head to her quickly and add yet another unit to the field to help out. Behind Jade, there are two Engage spots to help fill up an ally's Engage bar, so don't be afraid to bring out the big guns for the small fry close to the starting squares. There are several units on the battlefield that are carrying useful items to steal: the mage with the Elsurge, one Armored unit with a Spirit Dust (gives permanent +2 to magic), and a unit with an upgrade to Jean's Iron Hit.

In order to crush the competition, be sure to bring plenty of ranged units, both with magic and bows, to take down the armored and flying units. Bring sword and axe wielders to take on the enemies with lances and axes; it's probably best to leave the lance melee at home for this battle. During the opponent's turn 3, Katetsu and Zelkov with reach the enemy's fortifications, and they each summon two Corrupted. Make sure to down these two generals before taking on Ivy with the bow users.
