Fire Emblem Engage's chapter 19 brings Alear into enemy territory. Players will need to head in Givre Point after that ship battle in order to get closer to Veyle and the Fell Dragon's location in the center of Elusia. There isn't much else going on in this chapter; there is no Paralogue and very little is new in the floating safe haven called Somniel.

But this will give players a chance to catch up on Support conversations, ring polishing, making Bond Rings in the Ring Chamber, and the other little things that Somniel wants players to complete regularly.

Updates to Somniel in Chapter 19 of Fire Emblem Engage

Fire Emblem Engage protagonist an the party with Somniel in the background

Not much has changed on the floating island. The flea market has new stock of steel and silver ingots to purchase. Lindon is now in the Somniel if he was recruited in the previous chapter; he is a Sage that gets extra crit chance when he is using a lesser weapon than his enemies. There will also be new Support conversations, new Fire Emblem Arena Battles, and new items to pick up.

There is also no new Paralogue for this chapter, so players will be able to take their time on catching up on Paralogues they have not completed yet, Fire Emblem Engage's many skirmishes, and training skirmishes.

Now that the Divine Dragon Alear and party are in enemy territory. Make sure to donate toward Elusia to get to at least level 2 to be able to adopt any leftover animals.

  • Two Corrupted Wyrms - These things have a ton of health, a big attack range that ignores defense and resist, and a lot of health. Fire Emblem Engage's Engage attack Twin Strike will work well since it's Corrupted, but be careful because it is standing in miasma. The Wyrms are not buffed by the miasma, but player units are debuffed by it.
  • A lot of enemies are on the field; players will want to lead with Fire Emblem hero a Corrin to clear the miasma as much as possible. There are three fire cannons on the boat where the units start. They can also help with this; the fire will clear the miasma while damaging some enemy units. Water also does this, if players have the Engage attack Torrential Roar with Corrin.

  • Marni - has Emblem of the returning hero Roy. She has a single Revival Stone, but it is purple, meaning she will berserk on her second health bar. She has the sword that reverses the weapon triangle, a Wyrmslayer that kills Dragon units, and her biggest weapon: the Silver Great Axe. She has a massive attack with the Great Axe. Thankfully, it's a smash weapon, so players will need to take her out in one hit. She also has all of Roy's power, including the life-saving Hold Out ++ and Blazing Lion that makes a 9-square fire patch on the ground. She has a Goddess Icon that will drop on her death. When berserked, Marni will get the Binding Blade. It has a massive hit with range 1-2, and it raises her defense and resistance.
  • Mauvier - has the Corrupted Emblem Micaiah. He has two Revival Stones that are purple, so he will berserk on his second and third lives. He has Shine and Nosferatu with high magic attack along with a Brave Lance which allows him to attack twice when initiating combat. He has a Warp staff, which can allow him to teleport his adjacent units into the fray. He has a rescue staff as well; these have an additional area of effect and range on his staffs as well. While he is on the miasma tile, he is incredibly strong and difficult to kill. His Great Sacrifice has a massive area of effect as well. Players will gain the Brave Lance after killing him. When bereserked, Manuvier gets stronger, a better light Tome called Thani, and immunity to silence.

There is friendly unit on the battlefield name Saphir that will chat with either Alear, Diamont, or Alcryst. Make sure that one of these units is able to quickly get across to her; units in the middle of the boat do not have a plank to walk across to get to the pier. Players will want to recruit her quickly to get a little additional help on this fight, and she will permanently join Alear's team if players talk to her. She is the first female Fire Emblem character to start as a warrior. She has Will to Win: if HP is 50% or less during combat, she gets +20 to her Avoidance and Hit.

There are two houses to visit, one in the north and one in the south. These give players:

  • North House - This house has three Corrupted in it, and one of these enemies drops a Dracoshield.
  • South House - In the bottom house, there are three Corrupted units and no treasures. But one of these Corrupted drops an Elixir.

After turn 3, more Corrupted Knights will show up in the southeast corner. After turn 5, some new units will also spawn. Mauvier will use Rescue to bring Marni to him when player units draw close, bringing all her surrounding units as well. Players will want to avoid berserking these two units at the same time if possible. Defeat these two out of the Four Hounds of Fire Emblem Engage to end the chapter.

Fire Emblem Engage is available now for Nintendo Switch.
