Fire Emblem Engage's Chapter 12 is all about Alear heading to the desert location of Solm. This southern kingdom is where Alear will hopefully find some more of the Emblems they have been searching for, as well as some brand-new battle units to befriend.
In this chapter, players will get some new items in the shops on Somniel as well as a story mission and one Paralogue that has Alear in a friendly battle with Emblem Lucina. There are loads of new dangers that the desert offers along with all the great loot it holds.
Updates to the Somniel Safe Haven in Chapter 12
In the Item shop, players will notice quite the expanded inventory. There are significantly more of several items for purchasing, including more Master Seals to change Fire Emblem Engage's characters' classes, more Second Seal, more tonics and heal items, as well as other restocks. Players can now purchase Killer weapons which have high critical change, Silence Staffs, Physic Staffs, Freeze Staffs, and more.
Some other updates on the floating island of Somniel are:
- The Boutique also has gained a few more outfits for Fire Emblem Engage's units to change into.
- A brand-new multiplayer, online trial type is finally open in the Tower of Trials.
- Players can now donate to Elusia.
Paralogue - The Exalt
In this Paralogue, players will need to battle against the historied Fire Emblem character named Lucina in order to strengthen the bond between her and Alear. There are loads of enemies with money that can be stolen by killing them, and this battle will also unlock her max bond level. This open arena can make it easy for the hard-hitting enemies to surround allied units, so be careful of getting boxed in.
Lucina is the boss of this arena; players will notice that she has strong weapons against a lot of types of units. She has a strong bow that increases Resistances, a sword strong against Dragons, and another sword that is strong against Armored and Mounted units. When players engage her, a few new hard-hitting adds will appear in each staircase. The best option is to give the closest unit to her a Revival Stone with Tiki's power if players have bought the Fire Emblem Engage DLC. Hang back to make her use her bow, then melee engage and break her.
Fire Emblem Engage's Chapter 12 Tullah Desert Story Mission - The Sentinels
There are three new units that will join Alear's party as soon as this chapter mission begins; these three will join seven units in this Chapter's battle. Here are these three units:
- Fogato - He is a mounted archer unit.
- Pandreo - He is a High Priest, a pre-promoted Fire Emblem Engage unit.
- Bunet - Great Knight, also an advanced class.
Not only are two of the new units already advanced classes, but some of the enemy units are as well. Players will need to keep close track of which units are which, and dispatch their own units accordingly. There are Quicksand squares that will slow a unit's movement by 3, so be careful to avoid these when possible. Unlike some previous Fire Emblem games, it seems as if all units can move normally over regular sand tiles.
There are some villagers in the bottom left need to be protected and rescued, and they have a lot of good items. Give one of the staff units a couple of movement-based staffs in order to get someone down to that corner as quickly as possible. All the other units should move through the map, taking out all the Corrupted on the map. Here are all the good items players can pick up.

- Spear
- Master Seal
- Obstruct
- Elixir
Make sure to talk to the villagers post battle; this is when they will give Alear the items they are holding.
