Fire Emblem Engage is the newest chapter in a long line of Fire Emblem titles. Players gain the ability to use famous characters from previous games as battle companions through the use of Emblem Rings. When players wake up, they are informed that they are the Divine Dragon, a hero that's been sleeping for more than 1,000 years. This is when the gang realizes that the main character has no memories, and they have decided to return them to their mother, the monarch of the land. This is when the game begins.

Getting Through the Prologue: The Emblems

The prologue of Fire Emblem Engage is the tutorial. Players are introduced not only to combat but also to the Emblem system with their first companion, Marth, who is a character that appears in many Fire Emblem titles. The most important part of the prologue is to choose whether to be a male or a female protagonist and their name.

Chapter 1: Awake at Last Walkthrough

After some cutscenes go over the story thus far, players will find themselves in their first real combat situation. Framme and Clanne will move out of combat, inching away from this fight. After three combat turns, more enemies appear from the north. Vander will remain where he was left, and Alear auto moves into combat. This fight is pretty simple, and players of every level will be able to complete it without much trouble, especially with Marth's help.

After the fight is complete, make sure to have a chat with all the party members, then head on to Chapter 2 of Fire Emblem Engage.

Fire Emblem Engage is available for Nintendo Switch.
