Final Fantasy 9

Final Fantasy 9 is a fan favorite and has never been adapted before. The plot of the game begins with bandit Zidane and his Tantalus Theater Troupe on a mission to kidnap the heir of Alexandria, Princess Garnet. Because Princess Garnet is all too eager to escape her prison life, she decides (along with her bodyguard Steiner) to join Zidane and his Troupe on a series of adventures that allow her to make friends, uncover certain unforetold discoveries about herself, and take her rightful seat as queen. Villains and other forces threaten Princess Garnet, Zidane, and their friends along the way.

Originally launched in 2000, the classic video game has sold more than five million copies worldwide and became the top game in the series among fans and critics. The Final Fantasy franchise, now over thirty years old, has been adapted before. Examples include the 2001 film Final Fantasy: The Spirit Within and the more recent 2016 film Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV, among many other TV adaptations.

This adaptation will be unique in its goals and designs. Revisiting this classic game will make the show an easily new popular choice for family time. The Final Fantasy games have always offered incredible stories and character development. With images revealed from the show, views can expect the visuals to stick to the original style of early 2000s animation, but with far better quality. The Final Fantasy franchise is sticking to consistently supplying new content for its fans with this Final Fantasy 9 animated series.

The Final Fantasy 9 series is in development.
