Final Fantasy 7 Remake has been one of Square Enix's most positively received games in recent years. While the game was first released in 2020 on the PS4, 2021 saw an enhanced PS5 port in the form of Final Fantasy 7 Remake: Intergrade, which includes an exclusive DLC expansion involving Yuffie. Final Fantasy 7 Remake also saw a PC port near the end of 2021, and with the game's huge fanbase, it's no surprise it has an active modding community.

Many of these fans have been hard at work at improving Final Fantasy 7 Remake with mods in a variety of ways. This includes overhauling the NPCs and customizing the playable characters to fit many styles. Many of these mods have also given the cast some brand-new costumes, such as giving Cloud, Tifa, and Aerith their outfits from the film Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children. One of these mods gives Cloud and Tifa a set of costumes based on another acclaimed game in the franchise, Final Fantasy 10.

Modder Ninjagrime12 gives Cloud a costume based on Final Fantasy 10's protagonist Tidus, which replaces Cloud's default outfit. This gives Cloud his yellow jacket, necklace, shorts, boots, and a lot of other accessories that Tidus usually wears. A completely separate mod by swifferpilled is available that can replace Cloud's Buster Sword with Tidus' sword, the Brotherhood.

In order for this mod to work, another separate mod made by urbandayz is needed, which gives Tifa a dress that is based on Final Fantasy 10's other protagonist, Yuna. This mod replaces Tifa's Wutai outfit with Yuna's Summoner Dress, which is rather fitting considering that Yuna and Tidus are each other's love interests. This mod does require a mod that will make Tifa's weapons invisible however, which is needed to make Tifa's hands visible with the mod according to the post.

In some screenshots of this Ninjagrime12's Final Fantasy 7 Remake mod, there are a few shots that also show fellow party member Aerith in the same Summoner Dress. When asked about it, the modder replied that it's still a work-in-progress, so it's not finished yet but fans will get the chance to give Aerith a similar makeover in the future. All of these mods can be downloaded on Nexusmods for fans to try.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available for PC, PS4, and PS5.
