Since the launch of Square Enix's Final Fantasy 7 Remake for the PC last December 2021, many hardcore fans have been hard at work to produce interesting mods that tweak many elements of the RPG. Some have focused on being able to customize their favorite FF7 Remake characters, while others worked to make the already high-definition title into something more visually stimulating to look at. Now, another fan took it upon themselves to revamp 530 NPC faces within the PC version of the game, creating a massive mod that their fellow players can enjoy.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake continues to be a hot topic online. Fan speculations about Part 2 rumors are always seen in forums, and the video game even made headlines in current events due to an unfortunate video of Tifa Lockhart accidentally being played during an Italian Senate meeting. Whether good or bad, however, it seems like there is no stopping FF7 Remake fans from talking about the title and creating content for their well-loved Final Fantasy series.

As a way to address their concerns about Final Fantasy 7 Remake NPCs looking too sickly or veiny, modder SamsamTS uploaded a massive file on NexusMods recently. Containing 530 textures to replace the ones currently available on the PC version of FF7 Remake, the goal of the mod was to improve the NPCs overall look. The modder also added an option of 80 other faces from the game's PlayStation 4 version, lamenting that they look much better than their PS5 or PC iterations. In the before and after photos, players can clearly see the improvement in coloring and textures on the NPCs faces, making them look healthier and more appealing.

So far, the mod has had more than 200 downloads, with some users on the site thanking the modder for their amazing work. Some even hoped that SamsamTS would work on a hair texture fix for the PC version of FF7 Remake. One comment also mentioned how disappointing the coloring was for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, considering that the DLC was launched specifically for more powerful machines such as the next-gen PlayStation 5, and for the PC.

Though this is not the first Final Fantasy 7 Remake mod that SamsamTS has produced, it may be their biggest one. They have also worked making outfit mods for characters such as Tifa and Barrett. Hopefully more players discover the modder's work, and that they continue to produce more interesting mods for their fellow fans to use on their playthroughs.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake is available for PC, PS4, and PS5.
