Another one of Final Fantasy 7's iconic scenes, remade for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, has been shared. Square Enix released a new trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Remake Friday morning. The trailer teases several cinematic sequences from Final Fantasy 7 Remake, many of them important to the classic JRPG's story. One scene in particular, the one in which Cloud dresses up in feminine garb as a disguise, is particularly striking. There also scenes featuring Sepheritoh and RED XIII, too.

Cloud's crossdressing scene is an excellent example of just how much Final Fantasy 7 Remake is changing in comparison to the original title. In the original Final Fantasy 7, Cloud is tasked with putting on a disguise of a call girl in order to infiltrate Don Corneo's mansion. Cloud and Aerith believe Tifa is being held in the mansion, but Don Corneo only allows men who he employs into building. That's the reason for the disguise.

In the original Final Fantasy 7, Cloud simply goes into a small fitting room and comes back out in his dress and wig. According to the new trailer, Cloud's transformation is much more of an event. In the original, the Honey Bee Inn is an optional location where Cloud can get make-up applied or earn a piece of his "disguise." In the new game, it looks like the Honey Bee Inn gives Cloud a full makeover in a lengthy and fun cutscene.

The trailer also features other important sequences from Final Fantasy 7. There's an important encounter with Sephiroth shown, as well as a brief look at what must be Cloud's first encounter with Red XIII. That answers the question as to whether Red XIII would even be seen in this first Final Fantasy 7 Remake game. Some other fun moments in the trailer include the reveal of what might be two more summons: Leviathan and Chocobo & Moogle.

Each trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Remake seems to show several incredibly memorable moments from the original game. And even though they've been entirely remade with impressive modern graphics, they're still chock full of nostalgia. The heart of Final Fantasy 7 is being retained in Final Fantasy 7 Remake, that seems clear. It's the differences that are likely to be divisive for fans, like the game's voice acting or cinematic flourishes. How it all comes together, and how it's received is going to be interesting to discover.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake releases April 10 for PS4.
