The new Final Fantasy 7 Remake has an incredible line up of great summons and summon materia, and fans are looking to collect them all. One of the most adorable summon for players to nab is the Chocobo Chick summon, which brings a tiny chocobo baby onto the battlefield.

Summons in FF7 Remake

When players are in a long enough battle, they will fill their Summon bar and be able to bring out any summon materia that is attached to the Summon slot on their character. As long as that character is in battle, they can bring their summon into the battle, even if players have switched out their main FF7 Remake character.

Some of the summons will look very familiar to fans of the Final Fantasy series, including Ifrit, Shiva, and even Fat Chocobo. Players can earn these summon materia from Chadley's side missions, as rewards for story missions, and as pre-order and special edition DLC bonuses.

The Chocobo Chick Materia

In order to get the Chocobo Chick, players have to have pre-ordered the base version of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. If players pre-ordered the game through the PlayStation Store, it should be auto downloaded along with the game. If players can't find the DLC, make sure it downloaded by going to the "Your Add-Ons" and manual download it. If players ordered a physical copy from a retailer, like GameStop or Amazon, the DLC code will be emailed to them.

If players have a code, they can log into the PlayStation Store and type in the code into the "Redeem a Code" menu on the store. It's the same place players would have had to go if they got a Butterfinger Code for the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Tifa dynamic background.

Installing the Materia

After Jesse's personal mission, players will have access to the Summons Materia slot. Summons have their own slots in weapons, so players won't have to replace the current materia they are already using to put in the Chocobo Chick. Install this little guy into Cloud's sword, and it will be there in the next battle that fills the Summon bar.

After that, players will have access to one of the cutest and most useful chocobo ever. Here's a video to help out if players get lost on how to install it:
