Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has unveiled a Buster Sword light stick that looks incredible. The unique creation will be available to select audience members attending the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth orchestra in Japan.

Final Fantasy 7's Buster Sword is one of the most iconic creations to come out of the game, and is extremely recognizable due to its unique shape and size. The standout weapon was one of several created during the PS1 and PS2 era of Final Fantasy, with later blades like Squall's Final Fantasy 8 Gunblade and Tidus' Final Fantasy 10 Brotherhood water sword on the list. While there are many memorable characters, creatures, and items in FF7, the Buster Sword has been chosen as a way for fans to share their excitement during the concert.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has revealed the Buster Sword light sticks for the concert that can only be acquired with a select tickets from the Square Enix e-STORE. The replica of the Buster Sword looks pretty good as a simple prop, but the blade of the weapon can also light up in 12 individual colors. Some of these colors even alter the pattern of materia that's incorporated into the base of the weapon. Unfortunately, the light stick hasn't been announced for concert locations outside of Japan at this time, even though the concert will be held worldwide.

Why a Buster Sword Light Stick?

A light-up weapon from Final Fantasy might seem like a cute but confusing choice for some fans. However, the reasoning behind it has to do with Japanese live performance culture. Fans often purchase unique light sticks from venues or bring their own to cheer on the performers, waving their light sticks in the air or even performing complex dance maneuvers while the performers are on-stage. Some live performances feature custom light sticks themed around the performance, so using one of FF7's most iconic creations is a pretty fitting choice.

The iconic weapon itself has been featured numerous times, even appearing as a Buster Sword alarm clock complete with unique materia slots.
