How To Defeat Thunderclaw In Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

Thunderclaw Location in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth

To find the Thunderclaw Fiend Intel, players will first need to activate the Wastelands Remnawave Tower. This can be found in the western part of the map and, once activated, the Fiend Intel Location can be found on the screen, indicated by the icon of the two swords. Once players head to the place, they will be able to find Thunderclaw, as well as complete the objectives for the Fiend Intel mission. The tricky part about it is that players will need to both pressure and stagger Thunderclaw and, at the same time, complete the mission within a specified time frame. While it can be quite daunting at first, it shouldn't be that difficult if players have the right strategy.

FF7 Rebirth Thunderclaw Weakness

A go-to strategy for defeating most enemies in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is relying on their weaknesses. For instance, a lot of the enemies players will encounter in the initial stages of the game will either be weak to Fire or Ice. However, when it comes to Thunderclaw, it doesn't have any specific weakness. To make things even trickier, electric-type attacks won't affect it, so it reduces the options for players. However, there is an easy trick to defeat Thunderclaw.

How To Pressure & Stagger Thunderclaw

Thunderclaw can easily be pressured with the help of Poison Materia, using a spell such as Bio. Players should quickly keep attacking after casting the spell, and the pressured symbol should appear pretty quickly on the screen. This will cause the stagger bar to build up as well and, once Thunderclaw is staggered, it shouldn't be that difficult. All players need to do is switch to Tifa and use its abilities like Rise and Fall, Omnistrike, and Whirling Uppercut to capitalize on the staggered status. Additionally, players should make good use of Cloud for this encounter as well, especially in his Punisher mode, as his agility can prove to be quite useful in dealing with Thunderclaw, especially in dealing with his high-voltage attack which can render the players immobile for a brief period.

How To Get Poison Materia

Poison Materia is available from the start for Red XIII so players can simply give it to either Tifa or Cloud, or their party member, depending on their preference. Additionally, if players require an additional one, they can also get it from stores that sell Materia.
