A Final Fantasy 7 super fan has made real-life replications of all 16 swords found in the original game. The 16 swords represent all of Cloud’s weapons in Final Fantasy 7, and the image posted includes his iconic Buster Sword.

In the video game community, there are very few franchises that receive the amount of love that Final Fantasy does. With the help of the recently released Final Fantasy 16, the franchise has surpassed 180 million units sold. Although there are many popular Final Fantasy games, Final Fantasy 7 may be the most popular game out of them all. A big part of that popularity is due to the weapons found in the game. Each of the seven playable characters have their own signature weapon, from Aerith's mystical staff, to Cid's spears to Yuffie's shurikens. For Cloud, his weapon was the massive Buster Sword, as well as 15 other sharp alternatives.

Today, Final Fantasy 7 is one of the most popular games of all time and has inspired fans to make everything from art to action figures based on the characters. Reddit user Shred-the-Gnarnar, took fan creation to the next level by making replicas of all 16 of Cloud’s swords in the original Final Fantasy 7. Each sword is extremely detailed, right down to the accurate Materia slots for the weapons that should have them.

For fans who have played through Final Fantasy 7 Remake, some of these swords should look familiar. The tallest sword in the middle of the image is Cloud’s famous Buster Sword, which is so big that the tip of the sword is outside the frame of the picture. The other swords that are featured in Final Fantasy 7 Remake that have been recreated are the Hardedge, Mythril Saber, and the Nail Bat, which is not a sword, of course, but still counts. The Iron Blade and Twin Stinger are not present, as those two blades are exclusive to Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and these replications are based on the classic weapons.

The original Final Fantasy 7 was known for its gigantic swords, and Shred-the-Gnarnar created all of them to scale. In the image, fans of the original FF 7 will find the curved Rune Blade, the giant red Apocalypse sword, the Ragnarok with its golden handle as well as the almost futuristic Ultima weapon. The one sword missing from the image is Sephiroth’s long sword, which would have been a nice addition.

Final Fantasy 7 is available for mobile devices, Nintendo Switch, PC, PS1, PS4, and Xbox One.
