Having returned to Phoenix Gate in the previous main scenario quest of Final Fantasy 16, Clive and Jill sought out any new information while looking for the hooded man. While they were unable to find him, Clive was able to come to terms with the past, and he accepted the fact that he is Ifrit's Dominant.

The next main scenario quest, "The Meaning of Life", is another short quest. As a result, it has been combined with the walkthrough for the main scenario quest after it, "Righting Wrongs". Here is what Final Fantasy 16 players can expect as they go through these next two quests.

This walkthrough contains spoilers, so players should proceed with caution.

Return to Eastpool

With business concluded at the ruins of Phoenix Gate, make the trek back to Eastpool. If low on supplies there are some consumables on the ground that players can pick up along the way. Follow Torgal and open the gate to Eastpool to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, kill every last imperial in Eastpool. There is one small group near the gate and one larger group in the middle of town. Once both groups have been dealt with, a larger enemy will appear. This one will be accompanied by two casters that need to be killed first. After that, simply dodge his attacks and stagger him. When this enemy falls a cutscene will trigger and the world map will open up. At this time, fast travel to anywhere, but the Hideaway is disabled. So head there to advance the story.

Go to Cid's Solar

As "Righting Wrongs" begins, check in with the shop or blacksmith if needed. After that, head up toward Cid's Solar and go in to trigger a long series of cutscenes. After all the cutscenes are done, several side quests will open up. The side quests are "Needs of the Many", "Red Letter Day", and "Moving Heaven and Earth". In addition, Charon's stock at the shop will update as will the blacksmith.

Talk to Charon and then Otto to advance the story. At this point players will unlock Alliant Reports. This system allows players to track what side quests are available and gives them the option to fast travel right to the location of that side quest as well. Fast travel is no longer locked at this point, so players have the option to take a break from the story and work on side quests. When ready, speak to Gav and then fast travel to Lostwing once the cutscenes are done.

Head to Northreach

After arriving in Lostwing head to east toward Clairview. The path leads through a forest and is fairly linear and there are some small groups of enemies along the way. There is a small side area where players can fight a Dragon Aevis if they want some extra XP and ability points. Continue to follow the road to arrive at Northreach. Approach the shop to activate the obelisk in this area. Near the obelisk is a woman that triggers a cutscene when she is approached.

After the cutscene, go over to where Isabelle is tanding and talk to her again. After she helps Final Fantasy 16 players get past the checkpoint, follow the red waypoint to reach the Veil and trigger another cutscene. Speak to Isabelle again outside the Veil to receive a request from her.

Find Tatienne

To begin this request, talk to the Courtesan outside the Veil. After that, turn around and head toward one of the benches nearby to speak to another Courtesan. Next, go to the garrison. After speaking with two soldiers at the garrison, find Isabelle and tell her the results of the investigation so far.

While working on this request, several side quests will unlock in this area. Three are in Northreach while two are near Moore.

The next step of this request is to speak to Bertrand in Moore. Follow the red waypoint to reach this village. Bertrand is working in the stables. Talk to him and then talk to the traveling trader nearby. Following that conversation, follow the red waypoint toward the ruins. Kill the wolves there and examine the bodies to trigger a cutscene.

From there, go to Moore and give the bad news to Isabelle. Talk to her to complete the request. Once the request is finished, head to the chapel that is up on a hill behind Moore. Open the gate to trigger a series of cutscenes and the world map will open soon after. The next main scenario quest begins once players go to Drake's Head, so make sure to be fully prepared.
