After a series of ordeals faced in the previous main scenario quest, Clive and Cid arrive just outside Lostwing. Of course, this is only the first step. Now they must track down Cid's scout and speak with the alleged Dominant of Fire that was seen at Lostwing. Of course, complications happen and this next quest in Final Fantasy 16 ends up being more than just talking to Cid's scout.

Not only that, but the area in this quest is a little less linear than in previous quests. So while players will have to be ready for some combat, there are also some opportunities to gather crafting materials as well in "Louder than Words".

This walkthrough contains spoilers, so players should proceed with caution.

Activate the Obelisk

As the next main scenario quest begins, Final Fantasy 16 players will want to first approach the obelisk on the left. Attuning to this obelisk will open up fast travel for this area, allowing players to come back to the location whenever they want.

After activating the obelisk, proceed onward across the river and down the path. The path divides into two directions. Going right leads players up the hill where they can find a Valley Madder, which is a material that is used for crafting. Going straight will progress the story. Further up the path, players will have to deal with Waloeder forces. After they are dealt with, continue down the path and a cutscene will play.

Search For Cid's Scout

Upon arriving at Lostwing, the party will split up. Clive searches one section of Lostwing while Cid searches another. On the local map, the red circles with a line in the middle are places that players cannot access. Go down the path and activate the obelisk on the edge of Lostwing to open up the area for fast travel in the future.

While exploring, investigate the middle of the wood platform when a child begins crying. Talk to the child hiding behind some boxes to trigger a cutscene. After that, follow the red waypoint to go toward the church to trigger another cutscene. Once the cutscene is over, chase after the fleeing soldier until another cutscene is triggered.

How to Beat Chirada

Chirada is a flying enemy that uses wind magic. It also uses its wings as weapons as well. Watch Chirada's attack patterns closely and then dodge her attacks before moving in and attacking. Keep an eye out for when they spawn three glowing spheres. Move back from them as they explode shortly after they appear. Keep up with the boss and eventually it will fall. After that a series of cutscenes will play and Final Fantasy 16 players will have successfully completed "Louder than Words" and begin the next main scenario quest "The Dead of Night".

Final Fantasy 16 is available now on PlayStation 5.
