The previous set of main story quests in Final Fantasy 16 helped set the scene for the rest of the game. Following a five-year time skip, Clive has now taken charge of Cid's group in the Hideaway. Taking on the name of his mentor, Clive hopes to finish what Cid started and free Valisthea from the blight caused by the Mothercrystals.

With another war looming on the horizon, Clive sees an opportunity to go after another Mothercrystal while the other nations are focused on each other. This guide will show Final Fantasy 16 players what to expect as they begin "Bloodlines".

This walkthrough contains spoilers, so players should proceed with caution.

Go to Amber

As this main scenario quest begins, head toward a village called Amber. There are some monsters along the way, but since this area is fairly open players can ignore them if they would prefer not to fight. After crossing the bridge, a cutscene will play. When it is over, talk to the two villagers with the red waypoint hovering over their heads to get more information about what the imperials are doing in Amber. Keep speaking to NPCs with the red waypoint over their head to trigger a cutscene.

Continue On to Port Isolde

With business concluded in Amber, go through Shallop Rock toward Auldhyl. While going through this area, players will see more Fallen constructs guarding the area. Defeat them and keep moving through the pass. Follow this path and go across the narrow stone bridge to trigger a cutscene followed by a fight with a squad of Black Shield soldiers.

After the battle and subsequent cutscene, go toward the gate directly ahead. Open the gate to trigger a cutscene that opens up this area for fast travel in the future. Continue going west and then southwest down toward Quietsands and The Silken Strand. There is a cobblestone path that players can follow all the way there. Sitting in a corner of Quietsands by the shoreline is a chest containing one Black Blood.

Continue following the cobblestone road and approach the obelisk to unlock fast travel. Walking by the obelisk will trigger a cutscene. There is a very tense situation occurring at the gate, which makes going through impossible. According to Clive, however, there is another way to get past the gate and reach Port Isolde. A tunnel from an area called Lazarus was built to give nobles private access to the Port Isolde.

While the place may look abandoned, it is the best way to get to Port Isolde since there is nothing that can be done to convince the guards to let them pass the easy way. After this cutscene ends, "Bloodlines" ends and the "Black Light Burns" main scenario quest will begin immediately after.

Final Fantasy 16 is available now on PlayStation 5.
