Stone Tongue is a material in Final Fantasy 16 that is used in the crafting of Ouroboros, a belt that is unlocked at the blacksmith upon completion of the Blacksmith's Blues III side quest. While it is not absolutely critical that players obtain this armor piece, Ouroboros is the best belt in the game, making it quite desirable. Additionally, it is not very difficult to create, and this guide will help fans that are in interested in crafting Ouroboros in Final Fantasy 16 obtain the Stone Tongue that they need.

Final Fantasy 16: Stone Tongue Location

Players can earn a Stone Tongue by slaying FF16's Agni, an A-Rank Notorious Mark that appears on the Hunt Board once the Brotherhood main quest has been initiated. To find this beast, fans should make their way to the Edge of Infinity obelisk in the Kingdom of Waloed and follow the path northward to the small circular arena indicated on the map that is below. Agni will fall into this arena as soon players enter it, and the battle will begin immediately thereafter.

With respect to how fans should approach this fight, there are two special attacks of which they should be aware. The first of those attacks is called Collider, and it consists of three roll lunges and a body slam, all of which can be avoided with precision dodges in FF16. The second attack, Firewater, sees Agni shoot a beam from its mouth, and players should once again dodge out of the way to avoid taking significant damage.

Where To Find Agni In Final Fantasy 16

Once Agni has been slain, and its Stone Tongue has been claimed, players can set their sights on earning the rest of the materials that are required for the crafting of Ouroboros. Those materials are one Comet Feather and one Orichalcum, and they are obtained from other Notorious Marks in FF16. More specifically, fans will need to do battle with the Dread Comet and Atlas, the Behemoth King, Gorgimera, or Svarog before they can finish the belt.

While this may seem like quite a lot of work for one item, Ouroboros makes it worthwhile. Indeed, this is the very best belt in FF16, as previously noted, and it provides 32 HP and 95 Defense. Players can also look forward to receiving Gil, Renown, EXP, and Ability Points as they collect the resources that are used in the item's crafting. These are perhaps not the most exciting rewards, though they do act as additional incentives to get out and hunt the relevant Notorious Marks.

Final Fantasy 16 is available for the PS5.
