Primitive Battlehorn is a material in Final Fantasy 16 that plays a role in crafting the Gotterdammerung, the best weapon available during a first playthrough. Fortunately, it is not very difficult to obtain this important material, provided that the player knows where to look for it. For those players that may not know where to find a Primitive Battlehorn in Final Fantasy 16, this guide contains full details on its source.

Final Fantasy 16: Primitive Battlehorn Location

Players that are looking for a Primitive Battlehorn must set their sights on FF16's Gobermouch, an A-Rank Notorious Mark that appears on the Hunt Board during and after the Brotherhood main quest. To reach this monster, players must make their way to the Kingdom of Waloed's Eistla, a village with its own obelisk. Upon arriving at the Eistla obelisk, players should head slightly northwest, and they will find Gobermouch in the position that is shown on the map that is below.

While finding Gobermouch is a fairly easy thing to do, defeating him may be even easier. Indeed, the goblin mounts a very lackluster offense, and players that put some effort toward blocking his Little Swing ability and dodging his Goblin Punch ability should have no trouble bringing him down. That said, Gobermouch does have quite a lot of health, as do many of the Notrious Marks in FF16, and the battle can take several minutes to finish as a result.

Where To Find Gobermouch In Final Fantasy 16

To note, the Primitive Battlehorn that comes from Gobermouch is not the only thing that players will need in order to create Gotterdammerung, as the crafting of this powerful sword requires several other rare materials. More specifically, fans will need two of FF16's Darksteel and three Orichalcum. As some players are sure to expect, these materials are earned by defeating other Notorious Marks, and they will need to battle the likes of Thanatos, the Prince of Death, Atlas, Svarog, and more before their work is done.

Additionally, players will need to put the Ragnarok sword toward the creation of FF16's Gotterdammerung. Fans should not need to put any additional work toward the acquisition of that weapon, though, as it is awarded at the same time that the blueprint for the Gotterdammerung is unlocked and the import of the Primitive Battlehorn is revealed. This means that anyone that is pursuing a Primitive Battlehorn should already have the Ragnarok in their inventory, and they should feel free to use it to craft the Gotterdammerung once they have collected the remaining materials.

Final Fantasy 16 is available for the PS5.
