The Knight of the Splendent Heart is a Level 42, A-Rank Notororious Mark that appears on the Hunt Board during Final Fantasy 16's Back to Their Origin main quest. To find this enemy, players will need to visit the Penitent's Gate in Sanbreque, though they may be confused about the precise position of that location. This guide is here to dispel that confusion, and it will help players find the Knight of the Splendent Heart in Final Fantasy 16.

To note, fans must address the Under New Management II side quest before they can do battle with the Knight of the Splendent Heart. That quest is issued by Isabella on the east side of Northreach, and it is available after completing the Under New Management side quest. For full clarity, that prerequisite side quest is also initiated by speaking with Isabella, and it becomes available during FF16's Across the Narrow main quest.

Final Fantasy 16: How to Find Knight of the Splendent Heart

Players can find the Knight of the Splendent Heart in the Royal Meadows to the north of Northreach in the Holy Empire of Sanbreque. More specifically, he is situated at the north end of the area, very near to the Royal Meadows obelisk. The following maps should make it quite easy for FF16 players to reach this location, and they will find the Knight of the Splendent Heart standing on a stone path.

Final Fantasy 16: How to Beat Knight of the Splendent Heart

The battle with the Knight of the Splendent is not particularly difficulty, as his offensives tools are quite limited. Indeed, players really only need to worry about two types of attacks, and they are as follows:

  • Mirage Dive/Mirage High Dive/Phantom Mirage: All three of these special abilities see the Knight of the Splendent Heart rain down a series of strikes onto FF16's Clive, and players can avoid them simply by moving away from the vertical blue lines that preface the attacks.
  • Lunge: The Knight of the Splendent Heart will perform a large lunge attack at the end of the aforementioned special abilities, and players can use precision dodges to get out of the way. Alternatively, fans can try to use the Titan Eikonic Abilities to counter the strike, though they will need to be quite precise with their timing.

Final Fantasy 16: Knight of the Splendent Heart Rewards

Players that beat the Knight of the Splendent Heart will receive Gil and Renown for completing the hunt as well as two Meteorite as Spoils. While these may not be the most exciting rewards, some fans will still be happy to claim them.

Final Fantasy 16 is available for PlayStation 5.
