Final Fantasy 16's protagonist, Clive Rosfield, is able to acquire additional Eikon powers aside from those inherent to his own Eikon "Ifrit." This happens on multiple occasions throughout the story and opens up a wide assortment of new options in combat.

One Eikon whose powers Clive can acquire during Final Fantasy 16's main story is Bahamut, the light warden. Bahamut wields the element of light and provides a variety of wide-range attacks that make group fights considerably easier. Bahamut's Eikonic Talent "Wings of Light" is a tremendously powerful offensive skill that can be charged quickly with precision dodges.

How to Use Wings of Light in Final Fantasy 16

Final Fantasy 16_Wings of Light

Bahamut's Wings of Light Talent, triggered by pressing the circle button, causes Clive to float as Bahamut's wings form on his back. Clive can move freely and dodge while this Talent is active but is unable to take other actions. While floating, Clive's "Megaflare" meter in the upper left corner of the screen will begin to fill slowly. Every time the Megaflare meter is filled, Megaflare's level will rise by 1, and Megaflare can increase from level 1 to level 3 (level 4 if Wings of Light has been mastered).

At any point after level 1 has been reached, players can hit the Circle button again to release Megaflare. Megaflare rains bolts of light from the sky on all enemies, dealing excellent damage and stunlocking weaker foes. These bolts will also sometimes lift weaker enemies into the air or prevent launched foes from falling back to the ground. The higher the level of Megaflare when it is activated, the greater the number of bolts and the greater the duration of the storm.

Final Fantasy 16_Megaflare Level 2

Since Megaflare, once fired, will continue raining bolts for a while, players can easily chain this with other attacks and focus down enemies while they're stunned by the onslaught of light.

While Megaflare charges slowly while Wings of Light is active, it can be charged far more quickly by executing perfect dodges while Wings of Light is active. Each "Megaflare Dodge" will instantly fill the Megaflare bar once, allowing players to rapidly build up the meter with precise dodging.

If Clive is hit while using Wings of Light, he'll be knocked to the ground, and the meter will start draining rapidly. Once Clive recovers from being knocked down, players should be able to reactivate Wings of Light pretty quickly, preventing the charge from draining too much.
