There are quite a few swords for players to find throughout their Final Fantasy 16 journey. Clive will make his way through a whopping 50 Main Story Quests, and he will need to upgrade his swords often to keep pace with the powerful foes he's forced to tangle with. Thankfully, there are many weapons and items that players can craft and purchase, allowing them to increase Clive's power level even further. Those that want to get their hands on one of the best swords in the entire game will need to track down some Orichalcum. Here's where to find Orichalcum in Final Fantasy 16 and what it's used for.
Where To Find Orichalcum In Final Fantasy 16
To obtain Orichalcum, players will need to contend with some of the most challenging enemies found in Final Fantasy 16. The material is offered as a reward for slaying some S-Rank Notorious Marks, which are found via the Hunt Board later in the game. Here's a look at the S-Rank hunts where players can obtain Orichalcum. Each monster listed below will drop one Orichalcum when defeated.

What Is Orichalcum Used For In Final Fantasy 16?
Orichalcum is only used for one thing in Final Fantasy 16, to craft the powerful sword Gotterdammerung. As one of the strongest weapons in the game, players won't gain access to this particular blade until much later in Clive's journey. To unlock the ability to craft Gotterdammerung, players will first need to complete a sidequest called "Blacksmith Blues IV," which shows up during the Across The Narrow Main Story Quest (41st Main Story Quest overall). To access this side quest, players will have to have completed Blacksmith Blues, Blacksmith Blues II, and Blacksmith Blues III.
Once players complete the side quest, they'll be rewarded with the sword Ragnarok, as well as a special draft to create Gotterdammerung. Once they receive the draft, players can head to Blackthorne with the appropriate materials to create the powerful weapon. Here's what it takes to craft it:
