With Final Fantasy 16 being a modern JRPG, it suffices to say that there are going to be many familiar ideas buried beneath the new ones that are making this game such a hit with players around the world. While the overarching goal is still to save the world from evil, there are many other activities that protagonist Clive Rosfield can get busy with.

Hunting Notorious Marks to bring peace to the land, helping others as part of side quests, or collecting Curiosities to add to a collection, Clive can certainly be a busier man than he needs to be. For those that prefer to get some downtime to recuperate, there is also an interesting diversion to engage in, one that will earn the Eureka trophy at the Tub & Crown in Final Fantasy 16.

Before players can begin to sit back and relax, there is a need to unlock the Tub & Crown first. This location will only become accessible upon hitting the main quest, Home, Sweet Home, which sees Clive returning to a new hideaway, now in the guise of the new Cid the Outlaw.

Simply head in the direction of Charon's Toll Shop, and just beside it to the right will be the pub known as the Tub & Crown. Walk up to the bar counter, and speak to Maeve, the Cursebreaker running the place.

How to Get the Eureka Trophy in Final Fantasy 16

In essence, once players have reached the Tub & Crown, getting the Eureka trophy is an easy thing to get done in Final Fantasy 16. The objective is to spend 36,000 Gil at the pub. After speaking to Maeve and getting past the pleasantries, players can either buy drinks for 500 Gil or treat everyone at the hideaway for 10,000 Gil.

Choosing the latter option four times will get players over the line, with the Eureka trophy being rewarded after. This should be an easy task for most players at this point in the game, or there is always the option of coming back after concluding the main story. For the thrifty ones who rather not waste the money to get this trophy, do note that making a manual save before committing the cash will enable the return of the Gil by reloading after obtaining the trophy.

Tips on Getting Gil Fast

The easiest way to raise the required amount of Gil is to sell everything that Clive has in his inventory. With enough Black Blood, Gil Bugs, and the like, 36,000 Gil is quite easily achieved. There are also accessories that can help with getting increased gains for Gil, as outlined in this Gil farming guide.

Final Fantasy 16 is available now exclusively for the PlayStation 5.
