In Final Fantasy 16, Clive Rosfield will gain the power of multiple Eikons during his journey. While initially only wielding powers gained from Phoenix, he will amass several other sets of powers as the game continues, stemming from the various Eikons found throughout the game.

One Eikon players will see several times before being able to use in Final Fantasy 16 is Ramuh. The recurring lightning summon is possibly at his best here, wielding a number of iconic abilities in combat, including his signature "Judgement Bolt." This guide will explain how Ramuh's Eikonic abilities work, and how players can get the most out of them.

Ramuh's Eikonic Feat - Blind Justice

Final Fantasy 16_Ramuh

The first ability players will want to get to grips with after unlocking Ramuh's power is his Eikonic Feat. Blind Justice is a targeted ability that allows Clive to mark multiple targets after activation, before raining bolts of lightning on them by tapping circle again. These lightning attacks have homing properties and affix to the target for a while after connecting. Hitting a target that has affixed lightning will detonate the lightning for an extra burst of damage.

When hitting a target that has lightning affixed to it, all nearby affixed lightning will detonate regardless of what enemy it is attached to. This can cause chain reactions of bonus damage when used with care. Players who have used the Shotlock Commands from Kingdom Hearts BBS and Kingdom Hearts 3 might note that Blind Justice functions very similarly to these commands.

The damage caused by the affixed lightning exploding is based on the attack which triggered it, so striking a foe with a powerful attack is the best way to create high-damage explosions. This also means that sniping a target with magic tends to be less effective than striking them in melee to trigger the explosion.

Abilities like Judgement Bolt could be particularly dangerous when used to trigger the detonation, for extra damage.

Ramuh's Eikonic Abilities

Ramuh has four other Eikonic abilities that can be used in combat. These provide a mix of melee and ranged attacks focused mainly on AOE damage.

Pile Drive is unlocked by default, allowing players to perform a ground pound with Ramuh's staff that creates an electrical AOE blast. This is excellent for ending combos when surrounded, or for creating some room to breathe if the enemy horde becomes overwhelming.

Ramuh's second ability, Thunderstorm, allows Clive to create a downpour of lightning bolts that strike an enemy target and the area immediately around them, likely causing a fair bit of splash damage in the process. This ability is also unlocked by default and makes for a good opening before closing in with melee attacks. It can also deal reasonable single-target damage due to the bolts being clustered together.

Ramuh's Lightning Rod allows Clive to create a sphere of electricity that emits further electrical blasts when struck by any source of damage. This can be used to create pulses of electricity and damage all enemies in the area around the sphere, and can also be triggered by incoming enemy attacks.

Ramuh's final Eikonic Ability is the legendary Judgement Bolt, a single-target strike that nukes the lock-on target with a tremendously powerful bolt of electricity from the sky. This is Ramuh's single-most powerful damage option, but has very little AOE capability, making it better for taking out chunks of health from a strong foe rather than dealing with weaker enemy groups.
