The enduringly popular RPG franchise will be launching its sixteenth mainline entry later this June, after much anticipation and hype. More and more details are coming out about the game, giving fans a clear idea of what to expect. With only a few weeks left before Final Fantasy 16’s launch, fans are going to have a chance to win a copy of the game.Players will take on the role of Clive, who is has several abilities that are granted to him by Final Fantasy 16’s Eikons. The game will also be another departure from its classic turn-based affairs to be an action RPG, with its combat having similarities to games like Devil May Cry 4 and Dragon’s Dogma. The game is currently an exclusive for the PS5 console, which up until recently has been a rather hard console to obtain. Fans looking to play might get the chance to get the console and a copy of the game thanks to a sweepstakes contest from Square Enix.This contest, known as the “Trials of Fate: The Sweepstakes,” was announced on the game’s official Twitter account, where it states that those who enter have the chance to win a PS5 console, a copy of the game, and some other prizes. Players who wish to enter must do so through the Final Fantasy 16 website’s official gleam.io campaign, with the amount of entries they can earn being determined by certain actions that are asked of them. At least three winners will each receive the console along with a digital code for Final Fantasy 16’s deluxe edition.
The amount of prizes in the sweepstakes contest is also determined by the amount of entries itself. Up to seven PS5 consoles can be given out in this contest if it reaches a certain amount of entries, with contest participants who manage to acquire more than 100 entries being allowed into a special exclusive drawing poll that can win the grand prize: the aforementioned PS5 console, a Final Fantasy 16-themed PS5 cover, and the collector’s edition of the game.
This contest will end in less than ten days, with at least 400,000 entries recorded. There is also another promotion known as “Fate’s Test” that will begin after the launch of Final Fantasy 16, which is currently on level 1 of 3. If the amount of entries surpass a certain unlock level, another prize will be added to this promotion after the game’s release.
