Bygul is a Level 40, A-Rank Notorious Mark that will eventually appear on the Hunt Board in Final Fantasy 16. While the Hunt Board listing does indicate that this monster is within Waloed's Kritten Hollow, some players may be unclear about how to find that particular location. This guide is here to shine some light on this matter, and it will help players find Final Fantasy 16's Bygul.

Final Fantasy 16: How to Find Bygul

Players that are hunting Bygul should use FF16's fast travel feature to access the Ravenwit Walls obelisk in Northern Waloed. For full clarity, this obelisk is across the water to the east of Cid's Hideaway, and its precise position can be seen on the first map that is below. Upon arriving at Ravenwit Walls, players should simply head northeast, and they will find Kritten Hollow and Bygul at the position marked on the second map that is below.

Final Fantasy 16: How to Beat Bygul

Bygul mounts a lightning-based offense that is composed of several attacks. Here are details on each of those attacks and recommendations on how to address them:

  • Static Torrent: This attack sees a barrage of lightning strikes pummel the battlefield, and players should focus primarily on staying mobile and dodging while this takes place. Fortunately, it is not particularly difficult to avoid the lightning, as circles appear at the locations that will be affected before they are struck. That said, Bygul will continue to lunge at FF16's Clive during this attack, making matters slightly more complicated.
  • Static Torrent (Redux): Static Torrent becomes more dangerous over the course of the battle, as lines of electricity will begin to appear between the points where the lighting strikes. While these lines can be avoided fairly easily, as their positions are shown before they manifest, they do make the battle more chaotic.
  • Whipcrack: Bygul will occasionally strike with its whiskers, and players can get behind the monster to avoid getting hit by them. Notably, fans that get into this safe position quickly will have a good opportunity to go on the offense and deal some damage with their preferred FF16 weapon.
  • Wild Charge: This is a multi-part attack in which Bygul performs a series of lunges and then launches a group of projectiles. Players should look to avoid all of these strikes with dodges and then attack back when Wild Charge comes to an end. Fans will know that this attack is done when Bygul stops glowing, and this is a great time to unleash any Eikonic Abilities that are available.

Final Fantasy 16 is available for PlayStation 5.
