WARNING: The following post contains SPOILERS for Final Fantasy 14: Endwalker.A handful of Final Fantasy 14 players took to social media to share hilarious clips of what happened to them whenever they did the "/blowkiss" emote at the second boss of Thaleia, the latest raid to come to the game in the Growing Light content update. The clip went viral, as Final Fantasy 14 players pointed out the reason why they believe the Easter egg was put in.

Final Fantasy 14 Players May Have Discovered the Next Playable Race

After Final Fantasy 14's latest update, the story gives a hint about the next possible playable race many players are waiting for.

Twitter user FSHYbeans shared a clip from another user named RhalgrsDragon that showed what can happen when a player does the "/blowkiss" emote at the second boss of Thaleia, Llymlaen the Navigator. In the clip, RhalgrsDragon used the emote while targeting Llymlaen, which led the Navigator to chide the player with the line, "Oi, cut it out, you!" The boss would then stun the offending player and deal near-lethal damage to them with the ability called Navigator's Dagger. FSHYbeans pointed out that Llymlaen's ability shares a name with the fish that FF14's anglers can catch out in the world. The name is all the more fitting when considering the fact that Llymlaen the Navigator is the patron deity of Limsa Lominsa, a major seaside hub city.

This was further corroborated by Aitaikimochi on Twitter, who posted that the Japanese version of Llymlaen's line was translated to "Hey, focus now!" instead of the more irate line the English version got. However, there were no achievements rewarded to Final Fantasy 14 players who survived the Navigator's Dagger. But, the fact that the developers put the Navigator's Dagger Easter egg into FF14 Patch 6.5 showed how much of the lore was considered during the development of the "Myths of the Realm" alliance raid series.

It remains to be seen if there are other interactions with the Twelve for Final Fantasy 14 players to discover. With the London Fanfest right around the corner, Final Fantasy 14 players will most assuredly have more Easter eggs and secrets to uncover in the future.

Final Fantasy 14 is available now for PC, PS4, and PS5, with an Xbox Series X/S version launching in Spring 2024.
