The team behind Square Enix's MMORPG Final Fantasy 14 has just released an official exercise video called "Eorzean Aetherobics" for its player base to follow along to. The workout routine has several easy-to-follow and familiar movements, which is perfect for Final Fantasy 14 players who are just about to get ready to play or are looking to take a break from running through challenging content.

There are a lot of exciting things happening for Final Fantasy 14 and its community. A major physical event, the 2023 Final Fantasy 14 Fan Festival, is happening this July, while, in-game, players are probably looking forward to new content. In fact, hints and teasers about Patch 6.45 have already been circulating online. Even with all of these things going on, the MMORPG's team seems to still have enough time to engage the player base with fun little initiatives like the Eorzean Aetherobics exercise routine.

Just recently, Final Fantasy 14 uploaded a short workout video titled Eorzean Aetherobics on its official YouTube channel. The video is less than four minutes long, and consists of stretches and movements based on the available emotes in the MMORPG. Some of these emotes are simple like the "Stretch," "Cheer Wave," and "Point" ones, but there are also more complicated emotes such as "Cuff-a-Cur," "Black Ranger Pose," and "Yol Dance." Fans will likely enjoy how most of the movement is captured in-game but also has a human component that players can easily follow.

An official blog post from the FF14 community team was also published to explain the thought process behind Eorzean Aetherobics. The team's goal was to "motivate" players to move their bodies, and have them enjoy and have fun while doing the stretches. This is probably why the movements were based after Final Fantasy 14 emotes instead of stereotypical exercises. Players will also be glad to know that there is some science behind the creation of the routine, especially since the team collaborated with RENAISSANCE INC., a fitness company that operates sports clubs and programs in Japan.

Given the hours that players dedicate to MMORPGs like Final Fantasy 14, having a short but effective stretching routine before and after gaming can be beneficial to their health. Though the Eorzean Aetherobics workout may not be as complicated or intensive as mainstream ones, it is still a great way to introduce exercising to beginners and may get them interested to keep up with their fitness in the future.

Final Fantasy 14 is available now for PC, PS4, and PS5.
