Final Fantasy 14's raids can be some of the best content in game. Each one of the critically acclaimed MMO's expansions adds news stories, characters, and amazing bosses through the raids, as was recently the case with Pandaemonium in Endwalker.

In Shadowbringers, Ryne had her story expanded alongside an incredible new character, contributing to the story as a whole and allowing the players to learn more about some of the Ascians. With many cool new encounters that brought memories of past bosses, the Eden raids became fan favorites, and if you haven't had the chance to experience them yet, here is everything you need to do to unlock each part of them in Final Fantasy 14!

How To Unlock Eden's Gate

The first part of the raid is called Eden's Gate. To unlock it, players have to reach level 80 with at least one of the combat jobs, as well as complete the Main Scenario Quest "Shadowbringers". Doing so will make the quest "In the Middle of Nowhere" available with the Anxious Crystarium Guard (X: 9.7, Y: 12.3) in the Crystarium, south of the main aetheryte.

After picking up the quest, teleport to the Inn at Journey's Head in Amh Araeng and go south to talk to Ryne (X: 29.0, Y: 31.7) at the Derrick. Speak to her again after a cutscene to be taken to a different area, the Empty, where you'll have to interact with her a third time to complete the quest.

Start the next quest, "Deploy the Core", by talking to her again in the same place inside the Empty. Thancred and Urianger will discuss the next steps you all should take in a cutscene, asking that you lead the way in case it's necessary to fight Lightwardens. This will unlock the first part of the raid, Eden's Gate: Resurrection. Defeat the boss and speak to Ryne again, then interact with the aethernet shard (X: 5.8, Y: 6.5) to go to Eden's core. There, talk to her again to finish the quest.

As you'll soon notice, the Eden questline will require a lot of interacting with Ryne - so talk to her again in the same place inside the Core to pick up the quest "One Fell Swoop". Another cutscene will play before the next part of the raid, Eden's Gate: Descent, is unlocked. A mysterious girl will be introduced, then it will be necessary to talk to Ryne again to conclude the quest.

The quest "Nor Any Drop to Drink" will follow, also initiated with Ryne. Talk to her and you'll be taken back to the Empty, where you should interact with Urianger (X: 6.0, Y: 5.7), before returning to Ryne inside Eden's Core. The next part of the raid, Eden's Gate: Inundation, will then be available. Clear the raid you'll be taken back to camp to see the results of your efforts.

The last part of Eden's Gate will be unlocked with the quest "Super Seismic", initiated with Ryne in the same place. Follow her and Urianger to Eden's core to unlock Eden's Gate: Sepulture. Clear it and speak to Ryne to return to camp, where the next quest, "The Next Piece of the Puzzle", will begin with the girl exhausted after her efforts to control Eden. Talk to her near the exit to Amh Araeng, then interact with her again near the Derrick. This will take you to Mord Souq, where you'll complete this section of the raid by talking to her (X: 26.8, Y: 16.8) one more time.

How To Unlock Eden's Verse

The quests to unlock the next section of the raid, Eden's Verse, begin with "Away with the Faerie", picked up with Yalfort (X: 26.7, Y: 16.7) in Mord Souq. He will inform you that the mysterious girl finally woke up. Speak to her (X: 27.8, Y: 16.9) to learn her name is Gaia, and that although she remembers being a girl from Eulmore, she has no memory of recent events. She will run off, prompting you to follow her to the destination (X: 31.1, Y: 21.0) marked in Amh Araeng. Talk to Gaia, then head to the Derrick and interact with Thancred to get to the Empty. Interact with Gaia (X: 5.9, Y: 6.5) there to finish the quest.

Talk to Gaia in the same place to pick up the quest "Blood and Thunder". Enter Eden's core and talk to Urianger to unlock Eden's Verse: Fulmination, and once the raid is cleared, talk to Ryne inside the core. A cutscene will take you back to camp, where the next quest, "Into the Firestorm", can be picked up with Urianger.

Try to talk to Ryne and, after she shows little response, enter the /rally command in the chat (or use the rally emote) to rally her spirits. Wait for her to talk to Gaia at the designated location (right beside where you'll be), then interact with Urianger inside Eden's core to proceed. This will unlock the next part of the raid, Eden's Verse: Furor, and after clearing it you'll just have to talk to Ryne again to finish the quest.

Thancred (X: 5.9, Y: 5.8) will be the quest giver this time, as you can pick up "Heart of Darkness" with him in the Empty. Go to Eden's core and interact with Urianger to watch a couple of cutscenes, then talk to Ryne to unlock Eden's Verse: Iconoclasm. Clear the raid and talk to Ryne to complete the quest and make the next one, "On Thin Ice", available with Gaia in the same place. This will unlock Eden's Verse: Refulgence, which has one of the most memorable boss fights in Final Fantasy 14, and then you'll only have to talk to Ryne after clearing the raid to end the quest.

"Life Finds a Way" will then be available by speaking to Ryne to leave the Empty, then interacting with her again near the Derrick. The game will direct you to Mord Souq, where you'll have to talk to Yalfort (X: 26.7, Y: 16.7).

final fantasy 14 worlds apart

He will also start the next quest, "Worlds Apart", which will require you to go to the Wandering Stairs in the Crystarium to speak to Urianger - the Pendants will be the nearest aethernet shard to your destination (X: 11.1, Y: 15.6). The rest of the group will gather in a cutscene, after which you'll have to return to Mord Souq and interact with Yalfort again to conclude this section of the raid.

How To Unlock Eden's Promise

final fantasy 14 empty promise

Finally getting to the last section of the raid, the first quest necessary will be "Empty Promise", picked up with Yalfort in Mord Souq, the same place where the previous quest ended. Head to the Derrick to talk to Ryne (X: 29.1, Y: 31.7), then with Gaia to begin the next expedition.

Big fish can be hard to nab, but The Salter's unique characteristics can be exploited to make it easy.

The quest "Fear of the Dark" will be available after that with Gaia (X: 6.7, Y: 5.9) in the Empty. Go to Eden's core and talk to Ryne to be able to access Eden's Promise: Umbra, then clear the raid and speak with Gaia at camp to finish the quest. "Shadows of the Past" can be picked up with her in the same place, and will require that you talk to Ryne, enter Eden's core, then talk to Ryne again. Eden's Promise: Litany will be unlocked, and after it's cleared you must speak to Ryne again.

Ryne will also offer the next quest, "Voice of the Soul". After picking it up and watching a cutscene, Eden's Promise: Anamorphosis will be available and must be cleared before you can proceed. More story events will happen and Eden's Promise: Eternity will be immediately unlocked. Clear it, then speak to Ryne, who will be trying to wake up Gaia. Help by selecting the unconscious character and, with the chat in the 'Say' mode, enter "Gaia". Interact with Ryne again in the same place to complete the quest, making "Where I Belong" available. Pick it up with her, then leave the Empty and interact with Gaia at the Derrick. Head back to Mord Souq one last time to speak to Yalfort and complete the last of Eden's quests, bringing Gaia and Ryne's journey in Final Fantasy 14 to an end - for now.
